Austin isn't a huge city, but we still have less than 200 cases.
So what happens if this kind of shits the bed so to speak and just kind of fizzles out and all these doom day prophets are wrong. Then maybe 10 years from now the big one comes and these chicken littles are back again and we all die?
Fucked up world senpai.
I live in Los Angeles, and I haven't left the house in a week.many of my co-workers were fired, but I still have my job.
Only lib shit holes
Purification is good
Everything seems back to normal, besides the Strip and some stores being closed.
I’ve been working from home for the last couple weeks. Just found out there was a positive case from my work 2 weeks ago, holy fuck
I live about an hour outside of Toronto. My town has been pretty untouched by all the panic... apart from the playgrounds shutting down today we are all good. Toronto on the other hand s apparently in full lockdown yet my father who works construction still heads in every day for work as he hasnt been shut down.
Paramedic fag here. Las Vegas NV. I'm not sick, I don't know anyone that's sick. I've been asking around friends, family, coworkers...nobody is sick, and nobody knows anyone that's sick. At work we keep joking, "...where are all the sick people?" But it's the same old shit...junkies OD'ing, gang bangers shooting each other, fatties in diabetic comas, etc...
Chicago, no one gives a fuck. Especially joggers, those addicts will run no matter what.
Minneapolis. Stores are about half empty shelves (all the cheap store brands and basic goods are gone). We're a medical hub so we have lots of space still, but anyone who isn't in the process of dying is being told to stay home because they don't need a hospital bed.
Streets are about 50-60% more empty than normal. Shitloads of people out walking or jogging because the weather finally got above 40 this week.
Did you notice, early nov- jan, people being more sick than usual?
Ny has only 0.1% tested infected, only 3k hospitalizations. No one is 'overrun'
It's the usual. During flu season (winter months) we get enough people in poor health that come down with flu that progresses to viral pneumonia. Some of those people don't make it. This winter doesn't seem to be any different. My county (Clark) has been freaking out about hospital beds and respirators to deal with Covid. So far those people just haven't shown up.
Houston area has around 200 cases, but we don't have too much testing going on. It is probably much worse since the main county / mayor was resisting doing anything until the surrounding cities / counties with less cases were enacting lock downs.
I doubt the numbers will stay this low, but if they do, it won't be because we prepped.
I know, but this was different. It spread, quick, and knocked people on ass for 1-2 weeks. I'm thinking Corona has been around sometime in the states.
It has to have been. I have then sick in 20 years. Even the last year dealing with adrenal fatigue, leaky gut etc never had so much as a slight fever or cough. Then I’m Santa Fe in early feb, sore throat, dry cough, runny nose for 5-6 days. It wasn’t debilitating but more of annoyance... like wtf I never get this, and this was at the very beginning of awareness of corona as it started penetrating the media some
The thing about viruses is they aren’t people.
People change their mind. Cuban middle crises? De-escalation happened.
A virus doesn’t change its mind.
The problem isn’t how virulent it is. It’s that it causes a surge of people to head to the hospital or die.
the thing that makes me think this is all bullshit it why are republicans and or democrats trying to sneak shit into the bill that’s completely unrelated? This is the one time I’m happy that these faggots are increasing pork spending because if they weren’t then I’d really be worried
post proof the hospitals are overrun.
Yes I know people that have had extreme fatigue this winter, and were knocked out on the couch for a week, but with no other serious symptoms, just sore throat and runny nose and maybe some chills. I'm thinking this has been here for months. But it's not as deadly as they pretend.
Dallas. Business as usual.
I live near Sacramento and it's just fine
nothingburger confirmed
>boomers, fatties and degenerates getting culled
>pretty much only in Democrat strongholds as well
Based god pulling Sodom and Gomorrah 2: Electric Boogaloo
still only beginning. give it another week or two.
the idea is it fizzles out because the hospitals don't end up flowing out into the streets. that's the whole point of everyone not going out and licking all the doorknobs at once. nobody is going to see a china or italy coming and just do nothing next time because the right things were done this time.
>If you're in one of those big cities, how are things holding up?
Same
lots of empty beds here in las vegas / clark county
we have plenty of the usual degenerates wasting space - gang bangers that got shot, fattties in diabetic comas, boomers with poor immune systems
but covid related cases needing hospitalization? they just haven't shown up yet.
I’m in a parking lot right now of an emergency room because of anxiety. I come here a lot but don’t go in 90% of the time. Nothing happening here and is dead.
NJ, but in a city neighboring NYC.
It's bad here, hospitals running out of the most basic of sanitary equipment, but there's a sense of stability. It's better than NYC.
I have no doubt things will get worse, but at least we're not locked on that God forsaken island
is this Harrison Hospital?
That's the point he's making
No
I’m in Midwest suburbs of a city
Up north here in washington, whatcom county close to the canadian border. Nothing crazy here. We have been getting groceries just fine
Things Seems normal desu. Dont know anyone that has died, none of my parents friends know anyone that died. Havent seen people dropping like flies in the streets. We'll see what happens.
No one is overrun but here's what's going to happen: both sides will declare victory.
Happeningfags:
>of course nothing happened, it's because everyone stayed home and listened to me! Thank God no one listened to Trump! We barely avoided catastrophe! Orange man bad!
nothingburgerfags:
>of course nothing happened, it was never going to happen, happeningfags BTFO
Yeah honestly this lockdown is only needed for the huge cities. Far too many people far too close together with far too little hospitals. And even then they should really just quarantine everyone above 60, though Ive met too many boomers who still think it's all a hoax, so now we have to quarantine everyone instead.
That's just politics. They add stuff they've been trying to pass that won't pass on its own inside or with bills that are more likely to pass.
that's just it, i think this is a nothingburger. i'm a paramedic in las vegas and for the last 2 weeks they haven't been scaring the shit out all of us saying that half the city is going to be sick. that was two weeks ago. so far our respirators are unused. we have so few covid cases, and like ONE person on a respirator.
no. thing. burger.
Houston is fine. Houston: 66 cases
Harris County: 119 cases, 1 death. That is it for a city of 3 million that covers 669 mi2. The state have just about 1000.
abc13.com
In NYC there are over 20000, with 13 people dying daily. abc7ny.com
So I am fine. We are calm, everyone is acting reasonably sane and we are waiting until the live-action version of escape from NYC happens.
I had a lot of breathing problems starting in mid Nov, and it lasted all the way up to fucking January. I didn't go to the doctors because I don't like them, but man, that was a rough 2 months. My co-worker ended up getting the same thing except it was worse for her and had to go to the ER because she was coughing up blood. She's fine now, but now that I think back on it, maybe it fucking was Corona.
The city has 55 cases total and Mayor Turn is being smart, You want to shut down 3 million lives for 55 people. No neither do i.
Oh and I still have occasional breathing problems (air hunger) even now when I do even slight exertion like working out or even walking up stairs. Whatever it was, it really fucked my lungs up. I hope they eventually heal because living like this for the rest of my life will be a big pain in the ass.
Only in NYC. That's it. Nowhere else. Apparently they did a version of the hug the Chinese and got it.
It's peaked in most places. We won't see 200 hundred in the city. The state has barely 1000. NYC is fucked, time to cut them off.
Oh, the government will lock them in soon. States are already banning travel from NY.
NYC isn't even at capacity
I need TP
see this is probably the reality of whats going on compared to if you go on twitter which is like
>oh god we're forced to wear trash bags and old world war 1 gas masks and theres like 5000 dead plague victims in the basmenet of the hospital
for your bunghole?
I'm in Oakland CA. Shit is real. I own a home on the edges of the hills, between the wealthy part of town and the worst neighborhoods in Northern California. There are niggers casing the neighborhood by the hour. They send nigresses with kids out and they tell the cops they're walking to the store. But it's clear they're casing the place. I've made sure to sit on my porch with my shotgun (mossberg tac 500) in my lap and dogs laying beside me (German Shepherd and an American Bulldog). Not the gun I'd actually use were my house stormed by a pack of niggers, but I know niggers and I know the Mossberg will instill more fear than my .45 will. I make sure that we are highly visible and that they see I am armed. I am stocked TF up. I have my 3 sons ans wife with me. We all sleep in the living room because it's in the center of the house.
This shit is terrifying.
Not the virus... though that sucks too... but the god damn niggers are CLEARLY looking for a moment of weakness, an opportunity, or the call to chimpout.
I fucking hate it.
Which is why I am still awake at 12:30. I stay awake all night. My wife wakes up at 5-6 am and then I'll sleep during the day.
>shotgun
>.45
>threatening feral niggers from your porch
You are a man of taste.
So what happens if something impossible happens. Suck that desperate nothingburger dry tit retard
based oaklander, will request nigger update in the future
Yes. There’s historic precedent for that very scenario during the largest man-made disaster in modern memory; Hurricane Katrina.
New Orleans hadn’t been hit by a hurricane since the 70’s. A few had come close, but none actually passed close enough to the city to cause major damage. Every time a storm entered the Gulf of Mexico, local media and politicians proclaimed certain doom was on its way, and every time it was nothing. Until that one time it wasn’t and the National Guard was rescuing people from their rooftops via helicopter.
In the PNW and similar situation. Ran the wife through line of fire drills as we've changed sleeping arrangements but with the help of two dogs and my ptsd, we're sitting good. Doubt I'll get to see real firefight again...any of my vet bros miss that shit?
Bay area here.
Luckily I'm in a fairly nigger free neighborhood in the south east bay. I feel your pain.
Best of luck to you and your family, shits going to get worse before it gets better. Though in my town, aside from things being a little light, seems like normal activity. Nothing too alarming going on here so far, but I don't leave the house much these days. Ventured out for the first time today.
Both sides are equally annoying, which is why we all want coronavirus to spread despite all the faggy “social distancing” and shut up both groups.
I live in NYC and haven't left my apartment in months.
Trauma release exercises for PTSD. They are miraculous. I went from not being able to walk into a grocery store with no sex drive to basically normal and wanting to fuck like a 15 year old
>there aren’t enough hospitals in the city
Is that a joke?
Same.
Detroit is supposed to be the fastest growing city in the nation right now.
Haven't left my house since Friday, and when I did I didn't touch any public surface with my hands. No symptoms yet. My fucking retarded parents have been out shopping almost daily despite making a much bigger deal out of this (verbally) than I have. Thankfully they live in a different house, and I told them they can fuck right off if they think they're gonna come visit any time soon. If they get sick it's their own fault. I have asthma and I'm not gonna be a statistic coughing up my own liquefied lungs.
They aren't testing anyone except if you're on deaths door or were near a confirmed case, so who the fuck knows what's going on. My 45 year old mother who's in good health normally has a cough/sniffles but no fever or other symptoms so I hope she's fine.
My lease is up August 1st. Not renewing if the city's still unsafe. Not sure where I'll go.
>I live in a city where it hasn’t happened so I’m ok.
One of my coworkers tested positive, so everyone at my office was exposed. One of those coworkers travelled to Houston the day after the sick coworker went home. We’re in New Orleans, and the flight is under an hour.
Have they closed everything down in Texas?
As long as we honestly appraise what we did here; that we probably over-reacted based on inaccurate extrapolations of insufficient data, there won't be too much damage caused in the future. China prevented our CDC teams from getting first-hand experience with the disease, so it seems like we were caught pretty flat-footed in terms of how deadly it seems not to be, and in how transmissive it is.
