I know there was a bunch of cancer, but the economy was doing really good and that time period was just revolutionary with computers, tv, and video games. Also there was a lot of good movies and music in that time period as well. It was still pretty shit politically, but I'd say it was better than the 70s and 80s.
imo 45 - 63 was the best time of the 1900s in America.
Most of it was great. Things really started to dip in 1999, though.
Jackson Kelly
yea it was like shooting heroin right before dusk watching the sunset on your porch listening to coldplay while the fireflies slowly came out and your mom was serving desert on your screened in porch all at once on a summer evening
Xavier Taylor
Compared to now it was heaven.
John Parker
the early nineties were still OK, basking in the afterglow of the 80s. As they went on they proceeded to suck more and more. Bringing us to now, one long glide path.
I feel like it was a lot easier to get a gf even if you weren’t a normie
Anthony Lee
So much better, now it sucks
Isaiah Lewis
The 90s sucked. The Internet was slow, vidya was expensive, and to get news from the outside world outside of (((their))) narrative we needed shortwave radios.
Anthony Thompson
I wanna go back and I never want the Internet to become more than a niche hobby for nerds and weirdos
Ian Stewart
It was the fucking tits OP. Watch a movie like Conspiracy Theory and watch how American cops were portrayed pre-9/11. We need to go back.
The 90s were the big party that you have after taking out a trillion dollar loan with no way to pay it back. When you're old and still paying interest, you will tend to look back nostalgically on the party days.
Jack Cruz
The 90s where the beginning of things turning to shit culturally and socially >Rise of grunge music/hard drug use >Gangsta rap proliferates over rap about normie stuff like girls and being cool and clever flows/rhymes >Shaming of fucked up people ceases eg single parents, drug addicts >Internet started taking off, fanning the flames of weirdo subcultures like furries and hentai and etc
It was good and bad all at once but started being less good and more bad as the 90s rolled up into the 2000s
Alexander Clark
Sure it was full of degenerate shit and anti-culture but you could still live in spite of it.
Christopher Sanders
Boy bands, new "pop divas" and Eminem boom destroyed everything. Titanic represents pop culture after the late 90s.
Ayden Reed
Yes. White women lusted after white heavy metal and grunge musicians, seeing mud sharks was fairly uncommon, obesity was much more uncommon compared to now, MTV was playing decent music videos in the early years, no social media, jew propaganda was minimal, and less nigger worship than today. Over 90% of people actually acted white back then.
Kevin Long
at the very least every commercial on tv was mainly white and not completely full of (((their))) agenda. Also people were more normal and conservative and not with the retarded internet trends.
Elijah Myers
I feel like the 90's and early 2000's still had this semblance of exploration and mystery to it. Going on a road trip or something like that had a real thrill of uncertainty behind it, you had to actually be on time to go places or meet up with people or you were fucked. That's what I think is missing from society these days, cellphones and readily available internet access kinda took that element of surprise out of those kinds of things. "You had to be there" wasn't just a corny ironic expression, there were simply so many things you had to be there to experience because otherwise you'd never see it again. The internet cut out the exclusivity and gatekeeping to a lot of things that required actual connections, study or experience to partake in or witness. Nowadays people read a wiki page and think they know what they're talking about.
Alexander Campbell
somuchwants She was the finest of them all. Id still lick her peehole today
Benjamin Robinson
X'er here. It was pretty fucking awesome. Also, the only chicks that had tats were absolute degenerates and we laughed at trannies.
I dunno, the 90s were mostly getting attacked at school and at home to me. My desire to make global connections at the time - I wrote an essay favoring one world government at age 11, and got copies into a few peoples' hands - was in part a desire to escape that.
But I turned out okay, and the most frustrating part of my political history is just that I can see in hindsight about how my policy trajectories would've pre-empted a number of issues in sequence, heh.
Grayson Diaz
Based. Fuck every year since 2001.
Nathan Roberts
No it was shit. The country's leader and role model was a piece of shit that set a bad sexual example for young men of the time.
Jaxson Gomez
imagine some smokin hotty smoking today. Its over, kiss our asses goodbye
David Moore
The first half. 1996 onward, it was clear things were headed the wrong way.
music started to suck, everyone started dyking out on tv, and they publicly blackmailed clinton with the jewinsky saga.
James Gonzalez
I already had my present talent for information synthesis before I had an internet connection, so fuck off.
The ability to understand broader implications from "just a wikipedia article" is more governing talent than is available to far too many major orgs.
You're lesd clever than you know. The President's job is policy, not role-modelling. We're supposed to be a meritocratic system. That's part of what separates advanced states from third world pre-sewers nations: we care more about the truth of things than perfecting our image.
Sewer systems are ugly and they stink, but societies that prefer role modeling to sewer building are uniformly terrible!
Ryder Price
Reagan's victory was the tits. I'm 54 and had a smoking hot gf, more side tail than I could shake a stick at and plenty of cash. It was all downhill after herpez and aids faggot jew nigger shit started.
Samuel Moore
JFK had affairs as well, but he had a foreign policy against Israel and definitely is a top 5 president.
Caleb Peterson
EVERYTHING was better pre-9/11.
The internet was new in the 90s and nothing was censored. The internet was better before it was mainstream and required to do anything from applying to jobs to shopping to wiping your ass. Less niggers also.
probably any place in the western world was a good place to live before the 2010 decade the 2010's were instagram, e-thots, feminism, immigrants, refugees, all around the world, pure cancer some good vidya tho
Gavin Barnes
You pretty much have to go back to before Lincoln to find a non-pozzed time in America. Each decade gets worse by an order of magnitude.
Ayden Harris
I'm talking about cultural movements, fads, euphemisms, multimedia, festivals, social gatherings of any kind. I'm not taking away from your ability to absorb information by saying theres aspects of some experiences and subcultures you cannot glean from reading a wiki article. You're not getting that same information firsthand in a world where firsthand information is all that matters. That day has thankfully passed, but there are still aspects of that exclusivity or limited access that should be applied to modern society.
Thomas Jenkins
>oasis based leaf for once
Jeremiah Lopez
Remember Compuserve?
Caleb Price
Gaming on there was fun wayyy back when.
Joseph Kelly
1992-1997 Awesome. Extacy was rugh and gave you a wild ride, raves were cool until it became a thing...and learning networking so you could play doom, Diablo, D&D, smoke dope, get pissed and still pass your IT exams because you knew more than most professors.
wrestling was fuckin good in the 90's, and not everyone was a faggot
Logan Nelson
daily slide thread
Benjamin Nguyen
it was the split second after taking a flaming shot and setting yourself on fire like an asshole but before the burning and pain.
Evan Rogers
yeah its pretty amazing how real wrestling seemed in late 90s, very early 00s. The very concept of pro wrestling is not believable the gusto shown by both the performers and the enthusiasm of the fans made it more real than it really was. youtube.com/watch?v=he_PBX47zTo
