In a competitive environment this is only possible by improved impulse control ... reason being that you have to "pick your fights wisely" to conserve energy. I think the effect of the climate is there, but it’s much exaggerated by the proponents of the cold winter theory. I think humans specialize in different spheres. In the extrem case you can like the Inuits/Eskimos just have subcutaneous fat depots, which protect you against cold and can make you survive from them for a long time so they don’t really need to prepare as much for the winter. IQ isn‘t that meaningful everybody knows amongst Asians Japanese and Koreans are pretty bright. However they are in multiple dimensions not as bright as Europeans. Especially curiosity and what many would call a Faustian drive isn’t as strong in them. Chinese for example mostly fake their results. All Asians defeat the test by memorizing, which can be done. Reflection of individual essence and differentiation of complex systems with no sharp borders is best done by Europeans. You can also boost your groups „IQ“ artificially.
