Most consumers want a device that's more secure (government can't go and rip off the back at checkpoints with a sealed phone, better security), is slimmer, doesn't have a battery fall out randomly, have issues with exposed contacts after a removeable battery wore them out, and is a cleaner and more elegant design.

The people have spoken, and losers with plastic backed ez access for government agent phones have lost to the chad all glass design.

The most fucked up part of this is that the cell phone market is essentially locked down from outside competition unless you are a large company that agrees to play by these sorts of rules. It is effectively impossible to get access to contemporary cellular radio integrated circuits. You can't just get on Mouser and buy them to design your own phone that isn't kiked. You have to get in with the manufacturers and get approved to purchase them. If you aren't part of the club, you can only buy radios from several generations back, thereby crippling your ability to enter the market with a competitive jew-free phone.
