My dad died in Italy. He was fine for a few days and start coughing and wheezing for a few days and then woke up and couldn't breathe. He was put on a ventilator and died 3 days later. They said it was rapid because he smoked. Most people don't realize how smokers are affected as hard as the elderly. He was fifty and in good health.

It's like hell. It started suddenly with chills after feeling a little sick for a while. Still froze with 4 blankets and several hot water bottles. Fever started and I felt short of breath. As I have been in bed unable to move my heart was at 160+ppm while my arms and legs still got numb every few minutes. It was like running a marathon, my blood was full of adrenalin, though still there went waves of panic from my lower back up the spine to my brain from nearly suffocating. I got no sleep the first night because I had to concentrate all my energy to breathing in a 3/5 out 2/5 in rythm. Luckily fever containted the virus the next days and I slowly improved, I prayed to God steadily and without I'd be dead by now. I had fever, headache diarrhea and severe nausea. I coud not nor drink for days. My lungs feel abused. I can barely do physical activity.

ITS NOT A JOKE. It's flu like though more hiddeous due to pneumonia and lack of breath.
It's pretty much like running a marathon. You should be physically fit if it hits you. Try to let the fever kill it. If you take meds to lower the fever to fast you my get in trouble. I'm not a MD. Ask your MD for advice if you feel symptoms.

I noticed the first symptoms on Saturday (21). Diarrhea, nausea and 39C fever. Really hard to sleep. My heart was really agitated while I was lying still on the bed. Right now the fever and diarrhea are gone, and I'm coughing every once in a while, but mostly I feel fine. But I'm young, very healthy and I've been preparing my diet for this for the past two weeks (eating all sorts of immune boosting food you can think of). Definitely not cured yet, though, and things can get worse in the next days for me. I've had worse flus, though.
