The sorts of RNA mutations that this virus has have never been (publicly) researched before, and no lab has (publicly) done any experiments on the bat virus that this virus evolves from.

Schizos will link you studies about splicing bat viruses in labs to make them infect humans, but none of them are this specific virus (RNA mismatch) and in most cases aren't even coronaviruses.

The only place this specific virus has been seen before is in bats around 2014. Since then, it could have been experimented on in a military lab in secrecy, or it could have mutated naturally to end up in the form it is in today.

I think it's a mutated cirus that MAY have been tampered with for scientific purposes, but with good medical intentions and without being intended as a bioweapon or similar, in which case the chinks fucked up and let it out on purpose.
