I've working from home for more than a week and drinking less than normal. It's pretty comfy. I'm all stocked up with over 100 oz of spirits and 24 beers. And I haven't been drunk once, which used to a few days a week before this.

I guess its the commute, the office socializing and the fluorescent lighting that makes me so stressed out that I have to get bombed after work some days. I have been having a beer and a shot at lunch times and a nap in my own bed at lunchtime, maybe that's the key. Loosens me up for the afternoon grind.

I'm also saving a ton of money on coffees and breakfasts and lunches.

But you are right. Shit is not fun. I'm flush with cash and free time and no one wants to do anything on the weekend.

I think its an extrovert/introvert thing. I don't think this situation is particularly "fun" but I do not want it to end. I'm trying to be as productive as possible so I can work at home more (hopefully full-time) when things go back to normal.

I have been issued a Travel pass, because I make things for military. If I forced to take off of work I'd be fucking drunk 24/7 until I ran out of money. Thank God I'm working.

Sort of a blessing in disguise. Before this whole thing is was making good money at an easy job and I worked over nights. It was hard for me to sleep during the day so I drank a pint of vodka a day to knock me out. While I'm out of work I still get payed but since things are tight I've switched to just drinking like 6 or 7 beers before bed out of a 36 pack to save money and my health at the same time. Was getting bad. In the last few weeks before I cut down a handful of people started noticing i was getting the shakes in my hands occasionally. Told them it was a side effect from a medication i used to take.
