I think that the blacks in the United States should be given their own land, likely some portion of the Southeast, so that they may form their own ethnostate.
This is the only way to truly make amends for the injustices that have been done to them as a people. Even though they have achieved equal rights on the surface, they still face regular discrimination and institutional racism, and many are stuck in a viscous cycle of poverty and crime. I think they should be given their own lands as reparations so that they can forge their own destiny in the world, as I believe all peoples have a right to do.
What is the likelihood of such a scenario taking place? What kind of popular support would this idea have among blacks today? And what do you think a black ethnostate would look like?

But the reality is, that no matter what sizable land you give us, most people won't be happy. And that will devolve into revolutionaries and constant civil war. The only way a black ethnostate would work, is if it were a fledgling democracy/republic lead by a bigger stronger country or a full on dictatorship. Fascism or dependancy, you choose.

Do you mean blacks in the United States or black americans. There is a difference as proved by Liberia which was ruled by an Americo-Liberian minority for 150 years and was fairly stable for an African country until CIA subversion in the 80's.
