>"He was an unusual person. He was not like the other graduate students. He was much more focused about his work. He had a drive to discover mathematical truth," said professor Peter Duren. "It is not enough to say he was smart," said George Piranian, another of his Michigan mathematics professors.
>In 1967, Kaczynski's dissertation Boundary Functions won the Sumner B. Myers Prize for Michigan's best mathematics dissertation of the year. Allen Shields, his doctoral advisor, called it "the best I have ever directed", and Maxwell Reade, a member of his dissertation committee, said "I would guess that maybe 10 or 12 men in the country understood or appreciated it."

[P.S.: DUE TO POSTING TOO MANY TIMES IN A TOO SHORT TIME SPAN THE ORIGINAL OP GOT IP BANNED FOR TODAY]
>imagine being a millenial slave to money and technology
>Got caught instantly
>Zero impact on society
>Muh nature
During that time his writings were widely debated. Sparking new ideas within a society can not be called zero impact ya illteral fag when even dozens of years later we are still discussing it
Ad hominem.
Maybe you could address the arguments
>>Got caught instantly
Step 1: Read and understand ISAIF (and ATRev)
This is what /TKG/ is based on. ISAIF consists of 232 short paragraphs, which constitute to only 30 pages. It could take as little as 1 hour to read it through. Without this foundation, you probably won't even recognize the urgency of /TKG/. We are living in a sick society, to deny that would be insane:
-Children on hormone blockers
-Feminism in charge of whole countries
-Destruction of the family unit
-9to5 slavery until your death
-insatiable materialism
-highest depression rates
-highest suicide rates
-highest obesity rates
-emergence of degenerate fetishes
-loss of freedom (does corona ring a bell?)
Yet, this is only the beginning.
READ 'INDUSTRIAL SOCIETY AND ITS FUTURE' NOW!
Source on him being INTJ?
desu i'm not quite convinced that technology and freedom are really incompatible as pointed out in his point 125. having access to wide variety of information and business opportunities due to the internet can enhance your economical situation if done right (and more easy than ever). By being in a better economical position you can invest your tech earned money in other ventures. This results in passive income which will undoubtly provide you with more free time. If you are living in an advanced democractic society you then can choose to almost fully drop out of it
>Ted Kaczynski
I would never defend the actions of this man. I do however feel it's important to understand his background and what happened to this guy.
en.wikipedia.org
It looks like an authority figure dosed him up with LSD in college and tortured him. Not a good look.
Psychological study
As a sophomore, Kaczynski participated in a study described by author Alston Chase as a "purposely brutalizing psychological experiment" led by Harvard psychologist Henry Murray. Subjects were told they would be debating personal philosophy with a fellow student, and were asked to write essays detailing their personal beliefs and aspirations. The essays were turned over to an anonymous attorney, who in a later session would confront and belittle the subject β making "vehement, sweeping, and personally abusive" attacks β using the content of the essays as ammunition, while electrodes monitored the subject's physiological reactions. These encounters were filmed, and subjects' expressions of anger and rage were later played back to them repeatedly.[24] The experiment lasted three years, with someone verbally abusing and humiliating Kaczynski each week.[25][26] Kaczynski spent 200 hours as part of the study.[27]
Kaczynski's lawyers later attributed his hostility towards mind control techniques to his participation in Murray's study.[24] Some sources have suggested that Murray's experiments were part of Project MKUltra, the Central Intelligence Agency's research into mind control.[28][29][30] Chase[31][32] and others[33][34] have also suggested that this experience may have motivated Kaczynski's criminal activities.
>MKUltra
That's wrong. It was used as Propaganda to discredit him
>MKUltra
>That's wrong. It was used as Propaganda to discredit him
Okay. Do you have a source for that? Even if the MKUltra part is wrong, do you disagree he was part of this three year study?
Address the arguments , ad hominem is invalid
>He was a closet tranny / insane / Liner
Doesn't count
mkultra had the last laugh, ted
Source: his letters and self written biography, i will Look them up the following days
>do you disagree he was part of this three year study?
No.
See
If you didn't read anything on the subject (there is more than just Ted), what you say does not matter.
Here today again! Almost missed it. Should we start drafting the FAQ now? Let's start by specifying the Questions we get in every thread. Let's try to be objective.
>Society can not truly collapse! Everything will be back to modernity soon
>MKUltra
>Our problem is jews and only jews
>You only have to separate good technology from bad technology
The ISAIF provides answers to almost all of these in particular.
I'm going to quit this thread for now, i have things to take care off.
Please continue reading/debating.
Next /TKG/ tomorrow 2pm EST!
Take it easy
and you have proof to back up these bold claims?
Some on here take ISAIF and come away with the idea: "I should just go live innawoods"
This is wrong. That's avoiding the problem. Keep reading.
Yes, stay tuned.
Proof in the following days.
Take Care, gotta Go!
Cya
This is irrelevant. We're not cultists. Ted could have actually gone through with whatever alleged tranny desires, and it still would not make any idea he put on paper any less accurate.
Read Technological Society by Ellul
Read ISAIF
Read ATR
Read Ultimo Reducto
Anyone who has not yet read ISAIF?
once youre in the mkultra program you are compromised. Who knows how many LSD hits they made him take
This isn't for you, obviously, but for other anons reading this:
These ideas are not original. They have been around. Read Ellul or Ultimo Reducto for example. You know who you are. You know what matters. Some people are not worth convincing (remember this).
reading it for the first time now, though I've always been interested
Bump for very important reading.
What is Ultimo Reducto, user??? Have read Ted and Ellul, but never even heard of Ultimo reducto.
Hello finnanon, argiefren from the original thread here.
Be happy to help draft an FAQ. We also need to get on top of this MKULTRA bullshit.
A person that Ted was in close correspondence with. Look for his blogspot website. He is from Spain, but has translated some of his writings.
My take on the whole "LOL HE IS A TRANNY MKULTRA VIC" is that people who are susceptible to that type of deterrence are not worth a second thought. Let it be a shit test. It works out in our favor.
Glad you're doing it. Ask questions when you get them. We at the Ted's Industrial Society Help Line are happy to help any and all customers!
Hi!
Bump
So how did he manage to live in a cabin in Montana?
I'm seriously considering doing this. What's the start up look like. Keep in mind I'm not a psychotic genius but I do despise society
see:
based tyson the traveler
out of anyone he could reject industrial society it'll be him
In my opinion if you re read the paper he keeps assuming technology will be on the same trajectory.
As we seen this week globalism doesn't work and economy of scales are bound to fail because supply chains are too spread out
I believe the current powers that be will continue to support corporations and would have fulfilled ted's prediction if it wasn't for smart minds prevailing.
If people can break away from the trajectory of industrialized society by using a commodity based currency and using a distributed decentralized ledger like bitcoin. The common person could protect themselves from tech companies micromanaging their lives.
The users control their security settings and decide if the trade off of sharing information is worth it.
In the next few years new markets will arise as we can quantify human attention and value depending on the type of human they are.
The way we keep ourselves sovereign is using encryption and technology we control
In the future I see distributed ledgers and smart contracts replacing 3rd parties that would inevitability fulfill ted's prediction.
It's a trajectory that will have more momentum because it's a free market and it's a stable market that can survive economic crisis like we're having now
In a debt based economy tech has to be pushed and people come 2nd to mega corportations.
If you switch to a commodity based economy and have users being smart consumers and using technology to increase the velocity of a commodity based economy.
It hits all the points to change the trajectory of technology.
Also because it's a free market it'll create a brain drain from the current economy so it's inevitable in my opinion.
when you have bitcoin keys some whore can't take half your shit
some leftest judge can't enforce their garbage laws unless they're will to fork the community
so the economic powers of the community can split and nobody would split for some fag shit
Thanks, in Anti-Tech Revolution he mentions being in close correspondence with a Spaniard.
>My take on the whole "LOL HE IS A TRANNY MKULTRA VIC" is that people who are susceptible to that type of deterrence are not worth a second thought. Let it be a shit test. It works out in our favor.
You may be very right about this. After all, Ted is very clear -and so are other revolutionaries, especially anarchists- about whom one allows to associate with a revolutionary movement.
However, lots of very anti-gubbmint non-anarchistic anons will fall thru the cracks with the whole MKULTRA thing, anons who might very well otherwise have understood Ted's ideas.
Still feel it's worth the effort countering the muh MKULTRA aspect for THOSE anons, not the other normie-tier minds.
Just a matter of composing a short and to-the-point pasta about it -including that one letter by ted where he clearly explains MKULTRA had nothing to do with it and was an over all boring and painless experience. Have a feeling OP germanon might be able to pull that letter out of a hat; don't have it saved unfortunately, though have seen it multiple times on Yas Forums. It'll turn up soon enough.
Dude I'm so fucking past the whole save the world shit. I've tried for years. Plastic is bad. Social media is bad. Fast food is bad. It's all bad and we should change.
But we're not going to. We're. Not. Going to. And for the rest of my days this simple primate just wants peace away from what we've created. I'm not Jesus
So. How does one innawods
I'm reading it really slowly to absorb everything, only on paragraph 30 and so far it all makes perfect sense. Nothing I haven't heard of or thought about, just much better composed.
bitcoin governance is better than US government governance
Very based. Thanks Greta.
Hello fren, good to come across you again in /TKG/.
Any ideas for the FAQ?
Just woke up, so need to get the almonds up and running, but most definitely willng to help with the FAQ, Ted's work -specially ISAIF- makes it specially easy to make solid FAQ on.
technology is not information
>Glad you're doing it. Ask questions when you get them. We at the Ted's Industrial Society Help Line are happy to help any and all customers!
Second this. Anons are here to help brah.
>Nothing I haven't heard of or thought about, just much better composed.
Keep reading.... absolutely don't wanna spoil it for you, but will say it really gets better and better... get ready for new ideas incoming to your brain, guaranteed.
Also, a few anons are going to keep these /TKG/ threads going into the future, so when you are ready for futher reading, all you have to do is ask!
I have the transcript to that "abusive" interrogation. I am fairly certain this is indeed the "mildly uncomfortable" experience that Ted talks about in that letter you mention because it also shows up on those documentaries/hit-pieces about the Unabomber. Don't know where to post it however. I found it on wildwill dot net before it was taken down. BTW John Jacobi (creator of that site) is suspect according to both U.R. and Ted.
In regards to MKULTRA: I agree it should be addressed, but not argued in any intensive manner. The longer it takes to convince someone that it doesn't matter, the less we should take that person seriously.
Thanks for the books Germanon been wanting to read up on Uncle Ted
The practical action varies for all persons. Our capabilities differ. I'd never tell anyone to do any glownigger bad stuff. I am a Tedposter of Peace and only want people to understand that organizational technology is intrinsically going to lead to our ruin. I believe the crash is inevitably regardless of our actions, which is why I'm not going o work actively for the collapse. I want to be a humble potato farmer.
Some have theorized the Coronavirus is bioweapon to accelerate the collapse. True? I don't know. Could be.
It's packed concisely so take your time.
I have an idea. Use google or:
Imagine being such a brainlet that teddys ramblings make you feel elevated. Kek what a pitiful bunch you guys are
Aswell.
So I thought the FAQ build could start with us making the list of common questions first.
Questions so far:
>1. Society can not truly collapse! Everything will be back to modernity soon
>2. MKUltra
>3. Our problem is jews and only jews
>4. You only have to separate good technology from bad technology
I have the transcript to that "abusive" interrogation. I am fairly certain this is indeed the "mildly uncomfortable" experience that Ted talks about in that letter you mention because it also shows up on those documentaries/hit-pieces about the Unabomber. Don't know where to post it however.
Interdasting. Wouldn't know either, unfortunately.... Maybe make it into an image file like pic related?? Just a suggestion, wouldn't even know how to do it y self...
>In regards to MKULTRA: I agree it should be addressed, but not argued in any intensive manner.
Couldn't agree more, absolutely. It would be an absolute time sink, and a deviation from purpose. That's why a simple and succinct pasta should do it. Anons should not be wasting any time -and shitting up good breads in the process, at that- arguing with some normie-tier dunce about the MKULTRA matter, specially when in the end in all likelyhood they cannot even be bothered to read ISAIF.
crazy shit mane
really activates the old almonds that the government *might* not be the people's friend
I'm back from running.
