I own a 9 unit apartment complex that I inherited from my grandfather. I'm not going to charge rent to any of my tenants for the foreseeable future. I think of them as extended family members and believe it or not, every single last one of them responded to my email by claiming that they were still going to pay their rent no matter what I tell them.

My dad owned an apartment building and you could lose money charging the normal rate, and thats with constant self work on the apartment improving it.
