> inb4 all this data must be wrong because muh smoking is bad > inb4 regurgitated MSM articles that misinterpret data and don't even address what I'm pointing out
The bottom line: Even though ~25% of Chinese people smoke (52% of men, 6% of women), very few smokers are ending up in the hospital or morgue from COVID. Nobody wants to bring this up in MSM because they fear mocked for telling people 'smoking is good for you', even though the data on COVID19 seems to show a clear protective effect.
Very intriguing leafghani, you could be onto something here
Easton Young
Vaping also protects from coronachan by sanitizing the lungs and breathing pathways. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2135271/ >1942 >Concentrations of 1 gm. of propylene glycol vapor in two to four million cc. of air produced immediate and complete sterilization of air into which pneumococci, streptococci, staphylococci, H. influenzae, and other microorganisms as well as influenza virus had been sprayed. Highly likely that this is why they did that meme campaign last year to ban vaping. just a COHENCIDENCE that the "vaping illness" of yesteryear had the exact same common symptoms.
Kayden Perez
Now that you mention it does make sense. Cant infect your lungs if they're literally black solid tar. But how do smokers lungs even work in that case? There has to be some living tissue in there that's exposed to air, which could be infected.
William Barnes
It's the opposite.
Jack Reyes
$100 says you think this because some meme CNN headline like "COVID might hit smokers harder" where they cite prognosis data for people already hospitalized, which is exactly the misinterpretation I described in my initial post (and the pic I attached to it)
prove me wrong, big guy.
Joseph Thompson
because their deaths are recorded as lungs problems, not corona death
Keep this kind of idiotic trash out of my thread. What you are saying is so fucking stupid that it doesn't even rise to the level of being wrong.
Anthony Reed
>"vaping illness" of yesteryear had the exact same common symptoms. what did I miss? what the relation between vaping illness and corona chan?
Jackson Ortiz
Smokers are world class at coughing shit out of their lungs.
Joseph Reed
I think the two explanations that make most sense are: 1) the tar in smokers' lungs, and mucous produced in response to the irritation of smoke, is intercepting viral matter and thus reducing the quantity of virus that contacts living cells it can infect 2) the smoke itself - which is relatively hot - damages the virus by elevating temperature in the lungs. A pack-a-day smoker is bombarding their lungs with high heat 20 times a day. Perhaps this culls some virus in the lungs and thus helps limit the severity of a viral infection.
It's very unlikely that smokers are less likely to encounter COVID19, so their dramatically lower hospitalization rate suggests that these two effects (or other factors) are limiting the severity of infection such that hospitalization is rarely required (compared to non-smokers).
Asher Lee
Look at all these smokers terrified of their vulnerable lungs trying to cope. Here's an experiment for smokerd, go run around the block... see how it's hard to breathe a bit. Now imagine how the virus is going to leave you feeling.
Zachary Baker
China misreported from the very beginning the quantity and causes of deaths. The marked most up pneumonia. Chances are that with the shitty Chinese medical system that a more lethal form of the virus was able to take hold. They realized it and clamped the fuck down just as western governments are trying to do now.
Alexander James
Causation fallacy in action. Smokers are maybe more antisocial and ostracised. Who knows >tfw u bought smokes for the first time in a year
Dylan Clark
The MSM came out in full-force last August/September from a "mysterious illness" affecting people who vape. This illness was never once specifically identified and had the exact same symptoms of Covid19.
People in the vaping industry attributed this disease to black market THC e-liquids. Some thought it to be the additive Vitamin E acetate. Regardless, the vaping industry itself self-regulated like they have been for the last decade.
Mysteriously, this illness suddenly disappeared and the MSM stopped talking about it after Trump and vape industry heads got together to pass some bullshit bill on banning vape cartridges, though you can still buy "open tank" e-liquid, the typical product bought by most people who vape.
Why is it so hard to find COVID-infected smokers in hospitals and morgues? Set the snark aside. Why?
Dominic Thomas
Bruh this is a study from 1942 and the sterilization effect observed had not been tested on any living lung tissue human or other animal.
Tyler Garcia
The vaping industry regulated itself, yes the lung injuries were caused by black market vape pods you giant doofus.
Jaxon Cook
Sweet, going down to the store and picking myself some unfiltered menthols and vaping kit. We can all beat this if we smoke a few packs a day guys!
Nathaniel Perez
> China misreported from the very beginning the quantity and causes of deaths. The marked most up pneumonia.
If you're saying this explains the statistical anomalies I'm pointing out, that would mean there was a huge wave of smokers with pneumonia that were hospitalized and died in a huge wave before anyone even realized there was a virus causing it. Am I wrong? Does that seem plausible to you?
Cooper Phillips
Reminder This virus is about taking away your civil liberties, and you'll be begging for it because you've been inside for 9 months.
Aiden Baker
Good info mein NIGGER. Keep us updated as you learn more.
Curious myself, smoked tobacco and marijuana daily for the last 10 years or so.
John Miller
so that mysteriously illness qas never real? and vaping is totally safe right now? and can prevent from coronachan?
Mason Thomas
Smokers are social to a fault. They have to go outside to do it and have designated areas to do it.
Ryder Roberts
If anything smokers are more social
Kayden Jenkins
Unironically, what effect does smoking cannabis have on coronavirus?
Smoking is actually a sectioned and isolated social outlet. Sure they are social but they are marginalised from larger groups by virtue of smoking regulations.
James Baker
Sweet I smoke and vape.
James Reed
> smokers are so ostracized that they are 90% less likely to need hospitalization in a global pandemic
I don't think I'm on board with your hypothesis
Cameron Ramirez
>been joking for years that my lungs are so dead no illness survives there >it's true >smoking for 15 years >asthmatic So is this clown medicine?
SO WHY ARE THERE SO FEW SMOKERS WITH SERIOUS COVID19 INFECTIONS? Explain the data presented, which contradicts your statement completely. Your empty generalities are less than useless.
Asher Ramirez
China admitted they were corona deaths when they couldn't blame it on smoking. That's why you see so few smoker deaths from corona. I'd see what the numbers in Italy are. Never, ever trust any commie numbers.
Angel Kelly
Imagine using chinese numbers. How about you use Italy or Iran?
Hudson Rivera
52% of chinese men smoke
Carson Hall
It'll make your days 2 per cent less stressful when your parents are drowning in melted lungs.
Samuel Garcia

Colton Gray
Don't trust any numbers from China, or even Japan. It isn't worth you or someone you love dying because the Chinese managed to hide the dead bodies and trick us to work harder. Smoking likely won't help, lungs aren't the only way to be exposed.
Leo Morris
They fucked up juul because tweens were doing it too much.
Michael Diaz
>China admitted they were corona deaths when they couldn't blame it on smoking. That's why you see so few smoker deaths from corona.
If this is really the cause of the disparity I've noted, then we can extrapolate how many infected/hospitalized/dead they're hiding based on how many smokers we "know" should be in the official stats.
Ryder Bailey
It's funny you should bring this up as I was just researching countries with high rates of lung cancer to see if there was a direct correlation to higher deaths of covid-19. What I found was the countries with high rates of lung cancer DID NOT correlate to higher deathrates. Thus, perhaps smoking does provide some type of defense. But, there is much more data to be examined before forming a conclusion.
Isaiah Rivera
Is there an inverse correlation, or no significant correlation at all?
Joseph Gray
The COVID-19 PCR tests are for genes that if found individually result in a negative test, but found together result in a positive test. So one false positive is negative, but two false positives makes it positive. How accurate are these tests? We have no reference to know if someone recieves a false positive, or if the tests are accurate. No one can be sure they have the virus. 86% of infected never show symptoms. It's just like the HIV/AIDS hoax!
The chances of a virus mutating across species is ZERO, and across multiple species even less. It has never happened, never will happen, and never could happen. The only way humans can test positive for a virus from an animal is if it is injected into them, period. And the chances of it going across species multiple times? It can not happen, ever. Dogs, cats, sheep, pigs, and others have tested positive for this COVID-19. It's 100% impossible. All signs point to the testing being false positive. How many times are we going to fall for this?
It's exactly like the HIV hoax. West Nile, SARS, AIDS, and Hepatitis C are all invented by the CDC and WHO. The testing is even similar to HIV, which is fake. The statistics make ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE.
Watch this documentary House of Numbers on how the CDC and world governments invented the AIDS epidemic out of nowhere: youtu.be/BsT4GrimfLQ
Thousands of people died to the h1n1 vaccine. The spanish flu was created by vaccinations. All viruses are symbiotic in that they detoxify the body to prevent aging, especially in the respiratory system. They have been evolving with us for billions of years. They are manufactured within the cells. They are not foreign invaders that hijack your cells. That is fantasy. They are as much a part of us as our immune system. We have never proven viral infections are contagious. ANY deadly virus is either man-made or made-up.
Do NOT get tested. Do NOT take any drugs they give you. And for the love of jesus christ DO NOT GET VACCINATED
I was one of the first people to get this illness from smoking sketchy carts, right as they started to report on it when the cases were
Levi Watson
Sure. I'd expect a mysterious sharp increase in pneumonia deaths too. Good luck getting any correct data, though. The millions of dropped phone subscriptions is probably the most accurate data you can get out of China.
Charles Lewis
Tobacco has antibacterial properties
Caleb Perez
HA fuck you faggots and your anti smoking shit. Im moving to pipe tobacco.
Luke Gray
Serious question, Im a smoker and lie about it so my insurance is lower. What are the chances that all of china does the same shit? Probably looks better on their social score.
Evan Bell
some other carts were just using vitamin e as a flavouring and that collects in the lungs causing problems
another problem was popcorn lung from diecytl flavourings now banned from us vape juices
its never the nicotine or the glycerin or propyline glycol and there are many safe flavouring agents.
at this point getting bad vape juice from an established us or canadian company is astronomically unlikely
the problems are from chinese manufacturers or garage based juice if the garage juice guy is a moron as some are.
Easton Campbell
I figured that out when I was sick 2 months ago. Didn't bother quitting cigs or marijuana because I don't care anymore about drowning in my own effluvia and it went away. Spanish flu killed more young people because of their healthy immune systems kicking in into overdrive causing extremely high fevers that result in brain damage.
Jaxon Phillips
Occam's Razor.
Robert Jenkins
In order for this to explain the data, it would have to be the case that the smokers ALL (or nearly all - 90%) died in a huge wave before COVID was identified/acknowledged and it was only non-smokers in subsequent waves. That really doesn't make any sense and it doesn't explain the data we see.
I mentioned the cell phone data to a friend of mine who lives in mainland China. He is a fairly well connected guy there. He is very skeptical that 8-15 million people could be disappeared like that by the CCP; if it got out (and think how difficult it would be to hide in the age of smartphones) would literally destroy China's reputation for a century. He thinks the drop in subscriptions is from the government censoring people who discuss banned topics (probably COVID being one of them) via text. So it's censorship but it's not 8-15M people secretly dead.
Levi Lee
ACE2 downregulated by nicotine. I already told you in the last thread.
Jayden Hughes
This I always lie to the doctors about smoking
Matthew Wood
or maybe the chinks lied about being smokers because they were afraid that if they admitted they smoked the doctors would shame them and they would lose face.
or maybe not, just throwing that idea out there.
or maybe the numbers make no sense because they were made up. thats possible too
Asher Torres
>He thinks the drop in subscriptions is from the government censoring people who discuss banned topics (probably COVID being one of them) via text. So it's censorship but it's not 8-15M people secretly dead. Likely true
Jason Campbell
I would laugh but my lungs hurt from smoking
Parker Smith
I think Chinese doctors smoke even more than the average chinaman. Maybe they didn't admit to being smokers because they feared they wouldn't get treatment.
Luis Sanders
Look at this non-smoking fag chan. Boutta spark a non-menthol Newport red short, enjoy your oxygen while the gook flu infiltrates your healthy pathways you normal Norman queerbag fuck COPE
Henry Davis
>2020 >Doesn't smoke cigarettes
Are you bullied, mentally handicapped or both?
>b-but it kills you
And? Was life a contest about who lives the longest?
>it's addicting!!!
It's not, as long as you're not under-aged and you can smoke in moderation
>it's....IT'S EXPENSIVE!!!
Who forces you to buy a pack every day, fucking peat-gavel
Lol, bitter that a pack there costs ya fiddy bucks? Not that 50 dollaroo's is worth shit these days.
Kevin Ross
smoking activate the limpopsites to combat the cancer cells, immune cells are on guard on smokkers, non smokers are not on guad
Camden Reed
>52% of chinese men smoke and about 50% of chinese men are pathological liars who under a regime that terrifies them will say whatever they think they are supposed to say whether it is true or not
Asher Ward
>Maybe they didn't admit to being smokers because they feared they wouldn't get treatment. bingo
Jayden Myers
vaping could be bad because destroy the lung good bacteria flora, the thing is this if you left vaping you are gonna catch a sickkness
Julian Foster
When I went to nursing school They claim your lungs makes it own peroxide Everytime you smoke a cigarette.
Luke Carter
Prove it
David Carter
That may be a factor, but I don't think it explains all of it, or even most of it. First of all, there seems to be conflicting data about whether smoking up-regulates or down-regulates ACE2; furthermore, this seems to vary with ethnicity, with the effect being larger among east asian smokers than europeans. I'm not convinced but it's worth considering.
Kevin Gray
No it doesn't
But tobacco will kill worms in the stomaches.
Say if Corona is caused by a intestinal parasite smoking cigarettes will kill it.
Henry Green
The simplest explanation is that the elderly (more likely to be hospitalised) that contract the disease are less likely to be smokers. Why? Because 1) Smokers tend to die younger. 2) Co-morbidities you get from smoking (e.g. heart failure, COPD, cardiovascular disease) reduce the ability to perform daily activities -> less social contact. Smoking is not going to protect from any respiratory infection because it makes you more susceptible to them. The mucociliary escalator, for example, gets damaged by recurrent inflammation caused by chemicals in tobacco products and the lungs are less able to clear out the mucus -> better conditions for an infection to colonise.
