the average length of incubation for this is 5 days. It can get as high as 14 days. A shutdown from last Monday to next Monday will have limited the impact of people infected before the lockdowns because they will not longer be able to pass it on.

The idea that we have to lock things down for 6 fuckin months because of something that incubates, on average, for 5 days, is just economic sabotage.

The basic reproduction number for a disease goes down when people aren't so close to each other while infectious. If you have coronavirus and you remain isolated, then you don't pass it on to the same number of people that you'd pass it onto if you were going to sold out sports games.
