None of those people expected it to be that packed. Also, not every hiking trail is like that, I'm sure there are some that are packed on the first weekend where almost everyone off work, but there are still many places to walk or hike that aren't super busy. Feel free to stay scared in your moms basement, but know it is safe to walk outside in most places and not catch the virus, and better than staying in and watching fear porn all day/night.
