Lies. Democrats refused to let Trump create a $500 billion slush fund at Treasury with the sole aim of funneling all the money directly into his pocket with "bailouts" to Trump properties. It's sadly necessary to stand up tell the GOP no, that we won't give half a trillion dollars in taxpayer dollars to Mar-a-Lago.
And yeah, we'll have a wait a little bit, but it'll be crazy well worth it when the Dems bill is done. Real restrictions on corporations getting these bailout bucks, like banning all executive raises and bonuses for 10 years, instituting a $15 minimum wage, putting workers on the board. Healthcare, meaning more money for hospitals and finally letting Medicaid cover necessary, life-saving family planning procedures. And for individuals, not just $1,200 checks, but forgiving $10,000 of everybody's federal student loans.
That's what relief looks like. Not a half trillion dollar check in Trump's pocket.
