I run a car dealership. Everyone is working. Sales are slumping a bit but we are still selling cars and the shop is doing pretty good actually because people have time to do repairs and maintenance now. I already let staff know if they tried to jew their way into time off to be "safe" they may as well just quit, because I will fire them if they do. Fucking this stupid nothingburger.

The owner called me this morning, before I could make a firm decision. She was crying. I'm planning to work Mon-Thurs and then see what's up.
hourly pay has been cut, but we all make tipshare. Worth it on the weekend but not weekdays.

I work for a local company that grinds up tires and makes rubber flooring out of them. It's not a bad job, but the CEO has a fucking massive ego and acts like what we do is saving the planet. Every couple of weeks we have to sit and watch some video he produced about recycling and pollution and how he's going to single-handedly lead the way to teach other companies our ways.

So when we were ordered to shutdown by the governor, he someone did some mental gymnastics to deem us an essential business. Then when the governor said only "life-sustaining" businesses, we sent out some letter saying we were exempt because he MAY have the opportunity to install some flooring at a hospital or something. Both letters had some shit about how we are on the front lines of this war, major eye-rolling stuff.

We're supposed to keep these letters in our cars in case the police pull us over. It's super fucking gay, everyone at my job is freaked out, the supervisors and managers won't leave their offices, and the CEO hasn't been seen in weeks.
