The entire reason the media and blue cities/states are pushing hysteria and shutdowns is to tank the economy. This virus is no worse than previous viruses we've had that didn't shut things down. Staying inside isn't going to stop it long term so what's the point? It's only to attempt to slow down the growth rate but as soon as people go out again the growth rate will slowly increase again.
