Most of the Russian big cities aren't popular among foreigners or don't have too much of the population that often travels abroad. Saint Petersburg and Moscow are exception, but good part of their population are filthy liberals, so I don't see much of a problem here.

The issue is that we report them as pandemic death even if they've multiple pre existing conditions. Nowadays there are news about outbreaks in retired institutions. Lots those people wouln't have seen new year eve anyway.
