Texas here, the birds are still here in winter. And should be flying north right now. Havent really seen them lately. Still a few around though, but havent seen any large groups lately.

I see 100s of birds a day, here in BFE. I can postulate that those birds in cities may be relying on trash and handouts for their food, but since people are social distancing in some places those food sources are scarce. Thus, you'd see less birds in those areas. No easy food, no bin chickens.

Please put food out for birds then.
Also water trays for bees. Bees just need some water, DON'T ADD SUGAR or they'll stop making honey/make way less and not pollinate anything. Get a shallow tray or pan and pour a layer of water in it. Then put some small stones or marbles in it that stick out of the water so bees can stand on them and drink without drowning.
Birds also need a similar but slightly deeper water source for sips and splash.
