Anons, i've been watching a whole bunch of music video's and random recordings of everyday life from the 90's again. It seems so innocent, yet so colorful. So friendly and laid back. So chill, and so accomodating to a wide variety of sub-cultures. It was before 9/11, before Isis, before all the shit befallen to us nowadays.
She literally throws chad into the water because she's thinking about some random average looking dude. It's like people approached life from a fundamentally different perspective.
user. I don't mean to shit on your day, but I'm 32 and it was different. It isn't just nostalgia either, 9/11 changed everything. It genuinely, honest to God, felt like a different world.
I knew it was gonna be that video before I even clicked on it
Nicholas Clark
The 80s were better.
Brayden Richardson
>32 and it was different do you even math? 10 yr old talking about the 90's GenX was the 90's
Xavier Wright
why so sanctimonious? the world has always been arbitrary and cruel just because the 90s were seemingly placid on the outside doesn't change that fact when there was a ton of shit going on during that time, americans are so privileged they can live with blinders on
Isaac Reyes
Gen X here. The 90’s were garbage. 2k’s were garbage. 2010’s were garbage. It’s all garbage. 80’s were alright before AIDS, though.
Hudson Cruz
This. 9/11 fucked it all up
Blake Thomas
I believe you... check out this ancient VCR recording made on graduation day at some high school. It truly is strange to see such harmony and cohesion, a fascinating video of a seamingly alien world nowadays...
Early 90s had a recession as bad as the gfc plus a massive crime rate. The "good" 90s was basically from late 96 through to 2001. Some people say earlier than 9/11 because the economy crashed again just prior to that, but I still think it was okay even for a bit after 9/11. But 96-2000 was the sweet spot. Not only was their an economic boom, a tech boom, they came right after a really bleak recession. And crime in the mid 90s went down massively.

Look at the shy indie princess. Look at the audience - teenagers, families, kids...just quietly listening to the music and appreciating their day out. youtube.com/watch?v=2FdP0eS47ts
Ian Murphy
Also I was 15 in 96. I was one of the contrarian fags who missed the early 90s where everything was doom and gloom and depression and weirdness.
Brandon Taylor
the good guys briefly had control in the 90s
Connor Reed
42 here. Can confirm.
Alexander Lee
>I'm 32 and the 90s....
Nigger you were 3 years old in 1990 you don't remember them.
Grayson Harris
Now you'd have a bunch of young girls twerkin' and talking/acting like sheboons.
90 sucked. Trust me I was there and saw them with my own eyes. 80s were far, far better.
Jayden Wilson
>10 year olds can't remember anything, lol silly user
Nolan Smith
Bullshit. I was born in 88 and remember plenty from the 90s. Everything went to shit after 9/11 and really went to shit circa 2005 when MySpace was popular.
Logan Long
Yeah, I'm 34. Shit was way better, not just rosey lens better but statistically better over all. 911 did change everything. I feel bad for anons that don't know a world before internet, computers, and 911. This covid shit is 911 2.0, this is another down shift.
>so colorful They used film and upped vibrance or saturation is post dude. 90s also had its own colorful fashion like the 80s did, at least for part of it. Nostalgia is nice but you have a life to live
Jason Reed
AHAHAHAH THIS FAGGOT THINKS WOMEN IN THEIR PRIME YEARS WANTS A BETA MALE
AHAHAHAHAHAHA YOURE SUCH A FUCKING RETARD KEEP COPING BY SEEING OLD ASS MUSIC VIDEOS AHAHAHAHAHAHA MUSIC VIDEOS ARENT REAL YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT AHAHAHAHAHAHA
>The 90s was a single year, not a full decade get a load of this retard
Carter Ramirez
Sjws, Lawyers, cheap really shows and Jews ruined everything user but mostly the PC culture. SNL would even use the word faggot on TV. Sorry you missed our user. Delete all social media if you want a small taste:
It was very different. Still tons of absolutely terrible shit going on but because there was no social media, and the internet was very basic, the horrible shit wasn't constantly on display. Most people just didn't think about it. I was from a lower middle class family but even that was more comfortable than now. my Dad worked in a factory and my mom part time at a deli and we didn't have much but weren't struggling. Things just started to unravel in the early 2000's. But I really think that the lack of widespread instant communication made it seem more innocent than it really was.
Benjamin Brooks
37 year old here. It comes down to this was before everyone got online/smart phone's. It was less stressful and human interactions were more genuine. Sure the 80s and even the 70s have some things over the 90s but the 90s was the last era that had any connection to the past.
Jose Jenkins
I started rewatching The O.C again, and it's so damn comfy. There literally wasn't a single non-white main character through the entire series. The only time we saw a black face during Season 1 was in prison. They threw around 'gay' and 'retarded' openly as insults. The whole thing is just like a time capsule of a show. It pretty much single handedly launched the early-00s indie phase. From a modern perspective it's crazy to watch teenagers talking about wanting it to be special when they lose their virginity, being absolutely horrified by the thought of abortion, open 'slutshaming', no tattoos or neon hair, no LGBT sidekick, modest clothing and attitudes. It first aired in 2003, but the morality is just so alien to the times we live in now. Above all, it was just a fun, comfy show about the importance of family. It had great dialogue and is an absolute cultural touchstone of that time period right before everything went to shit. Essential viewing for any nostalgiafag during Coronachan.
I'm 34 and I remember thinking that the 90s sucked. What I didn't realize was 2020 would suck harder.
Grayson Brooks
>80’s were alright before AIDS >the world was better with more faggots faggot
Charles Harris
The 60s is when America peaked. We were flush and oblivious to the realities of what was behind the veil. We hated our depression era parents for their meaness and stingy ways. They shit out a lot of kids and then ignored us. Everyone I knew was kicked out of the home when they graduated from high school. We lived poor and stole food from campus cafeterias. We did not have the powerful addictive devices younger ones have. We weren’t pharmaceutically altered either. Stand up and scream your sovereign essence, don’t take any more shit from anyone.
This is totally true. 37 year old user here. 9/11 fucked everything up. Travel, attitude,.. just the whole feeling of the nation. Its like when a house on your street gets robbed and the cops start hanging around more often. You really wish the robbery hadn't happened but to be quite honest the higher police presence is more of a danger to you. No one feels comfy anymore. >9/11 changed everything, the kikes really did a number on us there.
Christian Ward
shut up boomer, you were all deceived by the CIA
Gavin Cooper
>tfw.jpg no thicc 90's ska-queen to tell me everything is going to be ok.
Hey dipshit, you are more aware and receptive to culture at that age than any other age. That’s why it was more important to 10 year olds than 20 year olds.
Kayden Rodriguez
We were deceived by the CIA, just like you are being deceived now, it goes on and on..
Jonathan Price
so why did Building 7 fall? just as a friendly reminder Building 7 is neither Building 1 or 2 it's a mistake many americans make in their response and argument when talking about the crash of the airplanes that caused free fall pancaking Building 7 is in fact a very different building, not hit by anything and a good way away from any of the debris from 1 and 2
Samuel Bell
>plus a massive crime rate. Only if you lived around niggers. Utah was heaven on earth. If you could get rid of the Mormon weirdness (admittedly not that bad) it would be a whitetopia dreamland. God I wish I could go back there guys....

0 how odd, only 4000 jews stayed home for unknown reasons but what about building 7 anyway

I was in highschool in the late 90's, graduated in 97. The world was a lot different , gays still hid in the closet, it wasn't a hate crime to beat up a damn trainee if they were trying to pass as a woman in a bar, the only problem was getting laid because all the girls were scared of AIDS n you basically had to date a girl forever before she would put out. You could still smoke in most restaurants as well
Josiah Ross
>consumerist crap from 30 years ago had pretty colours so society must have been better fucking kill yourself
Jack Peterson
Another Gen X here. There wasn't much 80s before AIDS. The shit started in 1981. You got dementia already?
Lucas Hernandez
>the internet was a big mistake. bigger than you realize
Michael Watson
fugg, even michael jackson sounded better in the 90's
>"Hey how do we both honor those lost and help heal the scar on the national psyche? I know! How about two big gaping holes, forever unfilled, a blight on the face of the city so the goy- I mean people never forget!"
This. The 90s were a golden era between the cold war and 9/11 a period of maximum comfy that will not be seen for another 100 years.
Ian Edwards
this song is an all-timer though and represents peak mid-90's. there was plenty of trash, too.
what is significant is the intentional embrace of reality. that is what is wrong with the last decades - people have been living in a delusion. the 90's were all about being real.
Sebastian Jones
90s were just as shitty as now
You just have nostalgia and you used to be dumb as fuck
Parker Hill
>i graduated that same year, fuck that video hurt to watch fuck kikes, fuck chinks, fuck every third world faggot
Brody Wright
>just quietly listening to the music and appreciating their day out.
I was taking lsd at Bridge School concerts in the 90's and was definitely not the only one. the drugs were to be closer to reality, to embrace the music and experience more closely. the idiot behavior of xanax rappers you see today, or worse vape stoners, had nothing at all to do with that culture.
