If people shopped in their normal patterns and maybe added a pack of protective masks or clothes to feel better, we would not see this massive delay in production and distribution and everyone would be able to get what they need.

Jesus... I work in hospital supply chain management. This is either made up bullshit or the product of outright negligence in their supply chain. I work in a 900 bed hospital, one of the biggest in my state and our stock is fine. We taught our staff how and why to use PPE so we didn't waste it. No shortage except for N95 masks and that's because when this started, a bunch of "youths" came into our ED all at the same time complaining of the same symptoms and stole a ton of them. Still we have emergency management protocols that make it not even s big deal because N95s are reusable on the same patients or confirmed covid-19.
I'm not buying it... not to mention the clinical aspect of this; I doubt trash bags would protect them or their patients.

Or nobody needs this many gowns at a time so the supply never existed in the first place, thereby allowing any excess prodyced to be kept and hoarded by China, tankie. Use your head
