Gloves don't help at all. You can contaminate gloves just as easily as bare hands and coronaviruses live more easily on impermeable surfaces than human skin (actually a fairly hostile environment for viruses). Would be much better to have hand washing stations available. If that isn't possible, just treat all groceries as contaminated and wash them when you get home.
