Too many young people need to be intubated and put the on ventilators. The death rate could increase for young people when the ventilators and doctors and nurses run out. My mom was an ICU nurse and she told me the following. You need to keep the person sedated, roll them every 30 minutes, the ventilators themselves require respiratory therapists to operate. Oxygen levels need to be monitored, etc. It's not as simple as "connect person to life glug". Oh and the price of all of this without insurance? $250,000. Copays are in the tens of thousands.

well try to think of it this way, if you are a 30 year old and have had maybe 10000 acquaintances in your life aged 20-40, maybe 3000 are likely to get infected. even if only 1% die, you are still gonna know 30 relatively young ppl that would die. not that i want to fear monger or saying this is going to happen, but these numbers are realistic and may even be conservative.
