I got mine from ebay. It came with a bag and a filter for $35 not including shipping but they don't have anymore sadly. You can get op's for very cheap but I hear the filter has a lot of asbestos, so you'd have to get a new one with it.

Im too feckin lazy to update the timestamp, but im running a US m40 mask with a 3m 701 adaptor and a cheap 3m p100 filter, anything else is pleb tier, eccept a full positive pressure suit.

Might be different where you live but the 3m filters were $5 a pair where I am so I bought 6 of them, couldve got one 40mm nato for that price.

Can I get a quick rundown on drinking straws in gas masks?
I was thinking of getting mirasafety.com/products/cm-6m-tactical-gas-mask?variant=16329021063219 , but it looks like you'd have to wear it with the straw constantly in your mouth, and I imagine that would get extremely annoying very fast.
Is there a way to tuck them in or remove them?

Good mask, most likley the manual will say to trim the tube to size with scissors, thats how it is with my m40 at least.

The idea is, I am ok to spend more on actual protection, but I don't want to waste so much money on masks I will not want to use for more than a day once I do have it, and n95 is probably fine to not spread it too much.

Is it a good idea? p3 masks here are like $45 ea and n95 is considerably cheaper

Pic related is my exact setup, It's the scott aviva which takes 40mm threaded filters(which means I can use NBC filters) and attatched is a scott pro2000 P3 industrial filter. I only wear it though when I'm walking around, I also wear surgical gloves and glasses. I went to the store to pick up some liquor store(in texas) to pick up some luxury items like jack daniels and some 2 liters of coke, The cashier and everyone gave me the strangest look inside.

Make sure when you get the mask do a negative pressure test. Cover your hand over the air intake(where you screw on the filter) and see if it sucks to your face. You should not be able to breath and no air should be getting in.
