I have friends in the agriculture industry who do buy lots from brazil tho.
China has the advantage that it has a very educated populace compared to most other 3rd world countries and it has very good infrastructure in comparison to places like india.
So if companies want to move their production elsewhere, a country need to have
1. Great infrastructure
2. Good connections in logistics with people in the west
3. Stabile and decently educated population.
