So I live in the hell hole of LA county and over the last couple of days I developed textbook Coronavirus symptoms. I personally don't care about getting it since I'm actually relatively healthy and only 30 years old but I have been in contact with elderly family over the past few days and so far I'm the only one with symptoms. So I drove by my local Kaiser and the security guard told me to pull around back for their drive thru "testing". So I did and a nurse came and took my vitals and information then a doc came out and basically explained that they had no tests and that the only tests available were at our local hospital but that even then they were only testing ICU patients. So I called a member of my family that is elderly who was really concerned that they might now have it so I called a hospital thats 45 minutes away and they confirmed that they did testing. So i drove all the way down there and talked to a nurse only to have her tell me that the testing requirements are the same for all of LA county and that I didn't meet them. So i looked them up online (pic related) and found that if you're not a healthcare worker or a boomer in a retirement home they wont even test you, with the exception of you being critical in the ICU. I can't help but feel like this is driving up the mortality right like crazy because they're only testing a very small segment of the population. For every one person they test there might be 10, 100 or even 1,000 that they dont because they don't meet this bullshit criteria. Is this exclusive to LA county or is it like this everywhere?
Why is nobody talking about the ridiculous testing requirements for the virus?

I have corona symptoms right now and I actually don't want to get tested because I don't want to deal with any mandatory quarantine nonsense.
So why are we freaking out over the numbers if the reality is that the virus probably has a mortality rate similar to the regular flu. I won't argue that its more contagious but it just seems like the mortality rate is getting blown way out of proportion and nobody is talking about it

That is the flu mortality rate with vaccination. There is no current COVID19 vaccine. Without vaccination, the flu would be far more deadly.

Lots of people are still acting retarded since my country isn't on full lockdown yet even tho our neighboring countries are. We will probably get on Lockdown on monday.
Doctors and Nurses here are overworked and hospitals are overcrowded. They started transfering patients from the epicentre in the south to the north because of said overcrowding. People are dying left and right.
