The only data for this comes from a 26 person study with a 16 patient control group. So they only actually used the drug on 10 people, and 2 had to be excluded from the trial. So they're basing this entire hope on a sample size of 8 fucking people. Several "got better" on the treatment, but ALL 8 later relapsed and several died, yet they still count them as "successes" because they were getting better until they took them off the drug (which they had to do because it's fucking toxic.)

There are over 20 drugs looked at for covid-19, in Germany two other experimental drugs (one HIV, one Ebola) have been found to work better as they have low side effects and prevent the virus affecting the lungs. But we are cautious and need way more data... and we are very skeptical of chloroquine, the French are doing a quick trail right now with it.
