>police have to break up food pantry lines in my city for being too big/disorderly
Does this mean we're communist now?

Considering this pic is a few years old, no
Meat shortage still. Strange offerings like pepperoni sticks and turkey.
I just went to the grocery store 20 min ago.
They were out of ground turkey (I like to make turkey burgers) but they had plenty of bread
My smol town grocer was fully stocked today. Per customer limits on certain items to prevent retards from hoarding.
I went to the store to pick up specific items for making soap. No rush, no panick. Saw people with toilet paper so I picked up a 12 pack. Business as usual.
I just found it as stock. My store has no rice or flour and no bread. No toilet paper. Not one single item of chicken, even hearts and gizzards sold out, some small amounts of beef and pork.
It was ok on most produce and sea food had stuff left. There were eggs and milk.
No bleach.
No frozen vegetables. Canned and dry beans were mostly gone. Been this way all week.
Also hospitals and the police are begging for donations because the country can't even provide a single weeks worth of PPE due to all production going to India and China to save $0.003 per unit to make rich stock holders a bit more while keeping American wages stangnabt for 50 years.
in communism Toilet Paper is worth more than money in the same weight
....oh wait
You live in China, duh . . .
I went to costco a few days ago
They had milk, chicken, bread, pastries, frozen food, lemons, bananas
but no yogurt or eggs
I did hear one in the suburbs had most stuff though.
>Does this mean we're communist now?
No, just late stage Capitalism where everything is made so efficiently one stress event brings the whole thing down.
Honestly you people laugh at toilet paper hoarders, but you really dont have enough toilet paper yourselves. The average person uses 1 roll per day. If you have a family of 4, that's 28 rolls a week. Over 100 a month. TP will be worth its weight in gold in a few months, because everyone needs it.
we started baking our own bread. Very easy and tasty.
Flour and yeast is still available?
This. Small towns are set for this. Everyone knows everyone and will shame the shit out of any hoarder
Go into any American walmart or grocery store and tell me that 90% of the people in there wouldn't benefit from a few months of half rations.
A food shortage would save far more lives than the virus could take, by reducing obesity, diabetes and heart disease.
>city
found your problem
I drove behind a local store today and saw pallets of paper towels.
Yeah a lot of people are for the first time. They claim evryone is hoarding stuff, but really half of is just people being a little more self-sufficient and less helpless for the first time in their lives, which puts strain on some commodities. Now evryone is gonna want better bread since they know the store bought loaves taste like shit which will cause bread makers to shutter.
Local supermarket shut down the Dairy and meat counters to make room for more space to stock other stuff that sells out quick
They were selling cheese wheels for 10%, grabbed a few
Dont understand why fresh food like eggs are all gone
>Dont understand why fresh food like eggs are all gone
Evryone is baking now
True. Last week when people were hoarding everyrhing we went to resupply and I was thinking that I'm better off than 99% of the people there if SHTF
Went this morning, no TP, most fresh produce gone, no dried beans, pasta or rice.
>trimmed and ready
>local
ohhh yeahhh
If you use 1 roll of toilet paper per person per day in your household you're more full of shit than I thought you were.
Eggs actually have a surprisingly long shelflife before expiring, and when they sorta get near the end you can cook them and keep them a week or two more
Also baking like us-bro said
>Dont understand why fresh food like eggs are all gone
Eggs can be frozen, so that's what people are probably doing.
how often do they resupply?
Communism doesn't actually have these problems. That's capitalist propaganda. Threadly Reminder: the "muh bread lines" meme literally comes from the largest capitalist disaster before this one.
City trash needs to starve
>how often do they resupply?
Resuppliers are probably considered non-essential work personnel, so they are forced to stay home. Eventually, there will be no resupply.
People don't realize it but a lot of manufacturing is already shutting down
>they'll restock the stores stop panic buying
Nope. We're literally heading to soviet Russia bread lines
Permitting Jews to perform usury?
resupplying food is non essential? what is essential then?
Yeah that's not what happened then and it's not what's happening now. Most billionaires are not jews.
>Does this mean we're communist now?
Nah. In communism, you form breadlines, and sometimes you get bread. In capitalism, you sometimes form breadlines to get bread.
My stores fully stocked glownigger, you need me to go shopping for you and my side pussy?
>I smugly quote the same tired propaganda from my father's suburban basement
>Yeah, but communism starve no fud, I reply
>Meanwhile, in the actual real fucking world
>Capitalism is globally collapsing and stores are literally empty of vital necessities in the richest nation in the history of the world
You are lying. Pretty much every store in America is going through this right now. There isn't even corona IN my area and nobody can keep cleaning supplies or toilet paper in stock.
major difference is people are actually getting the things they're buying rather than having them just flat out gone.
Went to Trader Joes this morning. Took 1 hour standing in line to get in the store and they are only letting you buy 2 items of the same kind. Brutal.
Are they? I'd like to know how you're getting things when they're out of stock.
>tfw actually communist
>state food reserve is full
>state ramps up alcohol and chlorine production to cover increased demand
>prisons work on mask production
>just doubled our respirators by illegally obtaining them through the black market
>Chinese overlords are sending us equipment and manpower
Feels good man.
>Also hospitals and the police are begging for donations because the country can't even provide a single weeks worth of PPE due to all production going to India and China to save $0.003 per unit to make rich stock holders a bit more while keeping American wages stangnabt for 50 years.
At this point I am in "reap what you sow" mode. Fuck globalism.
Just got back from the supermarket and they had everything. No shortgae of anyhting at all and people walking around perfectly calmly and rationally. You mulattos really are beyond the pale.
I went looking for some kind of list of essential services and I found this list. (Liquor stores are essential!). It seems that there are a lot more essential services than I thought.
Gas stations
Pharmacies
Food: Grocery stores, farmers markets, food banks, convenience stores, take-out and delivery restaurants
Hardware stores/plumbers
Banks
Community benefit organizations on a case-by-case basis
Laundromats/laundry services
Plumbers providing service for homes and at “essential businesses”
Automotive, motorcycle, truck and other vehicle repair businesses
Bicycle repair businesses
Internet service providers
Cellular phone stores
Electronics stores
Pet food stores
Moving companies
Financial services, such as payroll processing
This is for san francisco. I suppose other places may vary. (e.g. NY saying liquor stores)
I went to the store literally when it opened this morning and it still wasn't normal.
No TP/Paper Towels
No Cat food / litter
Literally only like 5 packs of chicken breasts, I only took one because I'm not a fucking dick.
You boomers gotta calm the fuck down.
>Resuppliers
>Not considered essential during a crisis
Found the retard.
>even bakery daily baked bread gone within an hour
It's not illegal to buy flour and yeast.
As a man who looked crazy taking his family into the woods to live in a tiny house, it's hard to not feel a little vindicated right now.
If you stop replying to copypastas you stop replying to copypastas
I have no problems getting anything people are saying is gone from the shelves. Sometimes I have to make two stops or something, or reschedule slightly and show up while they're restocking, but it's a minor inconvenience as opposed to the shit just not being available ever.
Well, that's nice for you, but in typical capitalist fashion, you've failed to remember that you are not the only person that exists.
>Sometimes I have to make two or three stops or something and strategically arrive when they're restocking, spending half the day looking for food while exposing myself to 2x to 3x the coofers.
LMAO, at the cope.
My situation is representative of the average person's.
Being slightly inconvenienced to get something I want and don't even need is far different than never being able to get something my life is dependent upon.
No. It's not. You just said you weren't even having shortages in your area, which I feel pretty certain is a fucking lie, since they're universal.
Probably because the devastated North American continent literally can't support 350 million hunter-gatherers, you idiot.
it's true, but it didn't last almost 80 years
>devastated North American
Found the retard
so... they did starve?
The "shortages" are what I described: People buying way more than normal. So you just show up early or you drive around a little if you need to. It's not a "shortage" in the sense that this shit isn't even making it to market in the first place, which is what happens under communism.
Americans deserve everything they’re getting. Capitalist, Greedy, stupid, Christian goyim down to the last man. I hope this virus ends this failed nation for good.
Ironically, the stores I've been too have fully stocked fresh produce. Even in panic mode, you can't get fatties to eat a salad.
