Common core is just the mental tricks that high IQ people use to do math in their heads really fast, but they're trying to teach them to niggers which doesn't work, and the language they use to describe the trick is insufficient and stupid, because the books were written by someone low IQ. 26+17 is an uncomfortable addition problem to solve since if you do it the traditional way you have little remainders you have to remember. Like 20+10 is easy but 6+7 is a number higher than 10 and thus a little harder when you're doing it in your head. Your options for solving this in your head are
1. Traditional, not retarded
20+10 = 30
6+7 = 13
30+13 =43
2. Smooth it out a little.
Choose either 26 or 17 and make it a nice round number by stealing value from the other. I choose 26.
I steal 4 from 17 to turn the 26 into 30. Now I am left with 30+13, an easy problem. which is 43.
The part that trips up low IQ in the first example is the 6+7, because it results in a two digit number and not a nice clean result with the same number of digits.

If you do this problem as written above, 6+7 gives you a little remainder you have to carry to the next column. The low IQ brain is incapable of this. They don't understand why the remainder has to go there and not just magically disappear.

If you can do math in your head you don't need common core. You don't need to learn it, you don't need to try to understand it, you're good. You're probably just being confused by the verbiage of the person who wrote the problem.
If you're a dumb nigger and adding two 2-digit numbers together makes your eyes cross, common core is trying to teach you the mental tricks that smart people use to do math in their heads. It literally is for stupid people. I've been fascinated by them my whole life and I can translate retard pretty well. I once helped someone learn algebra by telling her to use pictures for the variables instead of letters. The part that tripped her up was literally just using letters because for some reason she thought every letter of the alphabet had a static value that could not be changed. Using arbitrary pictures she came up with solved that. Afterwards, her math was full of kitty cat faces and stars, but it was good math.
Niggers in particular are not even capable of that. They do not have abstract thought. Anything you can't physically see or touch does not exist to them. No future, no past, no consequences, religion seems to work on them by convincing them god really exists and is always watching, but then they can't conceptualize omniscience and think that they can outsmart God and keep being criminals anyway.
When a nigger says "I dindu nuffins" upon being arrested, what he means is "I am not actively committing a crime right this moment, so I am innocent." It's not that he thinks he got off scot-free because he left the crime scene without a cop seeing him, it's that he literally cannot conceptualize the past. There is only now. He doesn't understand how he could be punished for something that isn't happening right now. When his mother says "he a good boy he dindu nuffin," she meant that he is being a good boy at this specific moment in time, which is the only moment that exists for niggers.

The mental version is abstract shortcuts, different for everyone who uses them because they invented their own method themselves, that should never have even been physically written.
