'Cases' have way too many factors involved to be even remotely accurate (some countries tests more etc.). 'Deaths' is the most accurate, but even that is somewhat unreliable.

Everyone put in controls too late and has only really started mass testing in the last 2 weeks. At the end of the crisis, I would expect the US to have haf far more cases than Italy or Germany. Their massive population means that the numbers can easily be multiples of the numbers elsewhere and still result in a fraction of the overburden of the system.
