I agree with you and was alluding to the idea of some cultures not meshing as well as others. Obviously European cultures will mesh with each other better than meshing with say, a Chinese or an African culture. This doesn't even need to a European superiority argument (you can make the same statement with the framework of cultures not being better or worse than others, just different). You could probably force the person you're arguing with to state European cultures are inherently better under this framework, to justify a lot of their points.
