OK, Millennial: Boomers Are the Greatest Generation in History

> "OK, Boomer" is what younger people say when they want to dismiss boomers as being out of touch or stuck in our boomer ways, sort of this generation's version of "If you say so, old-timer." It's not exactly an ageist insult, but it sure ain't a compliment.

> Millennials seem to think their challenges are greater than those any other generation has faced. Not really. The Great Recession? Nothing compared with the Great Depression (although the way the markets have been behaving lately, you may get there yet). The wealth gap? Today it's actually pretty close to historical averages, and nowhere near the peak that occurred at the end of the 1800s, research shows. Student loans? Student loan debt is $1.6 trillion. Over the next 30 years, boomers will pass down $68 trillion as part of the "Great Wealth Transfer." That should cover it for many borrowers (the timing may suck, though).

> would millennials rather we went back to the old system where the older generation lived with their adult kids who cared for them? Didn't think so. Oh yeah, we also had the Vietnam War and the draft.

> This is not to say that your generation doesn't face problems or that they're not important. Some, like climate change, rise to the level of existential. The hard truth: Every generation faces existential crises. You think the bubonic plague and AIDS weren't existential crises? How about Hitler? Or communism? Boomers lived under the very real threat of a nuclear war that would have killed everything and turned the planet into a ball of ice.

> Pew Research Center says. About half of boomers have already retired. It's time for us to step off the stage and for you to step up.

> Let's see how we did and what you'll have to live up to, using 1969 as a benchmark. Spoiler alert: The world we're leaving you is way better off than the one we got.

> would millennials rather we went back to the old system where the older generation lived with their adult kids who cared for them?

I think we'd prefer an intact family unit yeah

Ok boomer

Founding fathers are the greatest generation

Boomers didn't live during the great depression, wtf

I don't have any strong opinion on Boomers. I really don't know.

As a Millennial, I think Millennials are fags though. We're the generation that marched for gay marriage and let our kids "transition."

lmao fuck boomers

We're literally inheriting a shit show from them, they should keep it up. Their heads will be next

This, fuckers are going to the nursing homes with the niggers if they keep this shit up.

I like the part where they confuse the ww2 era generation with baby boomers, those that came after ww2.
Also
> The world we're leaving you is way better off than the one we got
The fucking gall.

>the world we're leaving you is better than the one we got
All I heard growing up my entire life was my boomer parents saying how things just keep getting worse, the govt in ineffective and our dollar is becoming worthless. Are my parents the only two boomers that aren't retarded? Do boomers in general actually believe the world is better now than then?

> would millennials rather we went back to the old system where the older generation lived with their adult kids who cared for them? Didn't think so

God I fucking hate this attitude. I love my mom and dad and, provided I could afford it, I would love to have them live with me and their grandchildren when they're old rather than leaving them to rot in a nursing home hoping to avoid the 13th Covid outbreak

Human Rights & Inclusivity
> Not to put too fine a point on it, but in 1969 life for a gay, black, young woman (or any of the above) was pretty tough.
The baseline has moved so far, so fast that it's hard to explain what it was like in 1969, particularly outside major metropolitan areas and in the South. Until 1967, some states had laws that prohibited marriage between people of different races. Before enforcement of the Fair Housing Act of 1968, many towns had sundown laws where blacks were subject to arrest if they were out after dark. In 1981, a young black man was lynched in Mobile, Alabama, by the Ku Klux Klan. In 1969, women earned 59 cents on the dollar vs. men. Now it's 82 cents. Not great, but better. But before 1963, employers didn't even have to pretend to pay men and women equally for the same work. Until 1973, homosexuality was considered a mental disorder by the psychiatric profession. Before Roe v. Wade in 1973, abortion was a crime in many states.
>We are far from living in a fair and equal world, but it is decidedly fairer and more equal than it was in 1969 and much of that is due to boomers. We voted. We marched—at our schools and in our hometowns, and after piling into beat-up old cars and driving through the night to Washington. We agitated and demonstrated. Sometimes we even rioted—as in Chicago in 1968 and New York City in 1969 (Stonewall). Sometimes we paid a heavy price—people went to jail, and at Kent State University in 1970, students were killed by the National Guard. Today, there is at least some measure of indignation when we see unfairness. And there is redress, both legally and in public shaming. We have not eliminated bias, but we have delegitimized it.

HAHAHAHAHA

Honestly it's not a bad idea, especially with resources fucking dwindling as quickly as they are from amassed wealth scooping shit up by the truckloads. Many other countries have and will continue this practice, because it's just economically the sensible approach. The baby bird leaving the proverbial birds nest worked when you could get a nice house for cheap, but we don't have that luxury anymore.

>I think Millennials are fags though. We're the generation that marched for gay marriage and let our kids "transition."
Painfully myopic. Who do you think instilled those insidious ideas into our generation? Do you think we just spontaneously came up with these ideas at age 10? We were encouraged by these boomer failures to do so. It's the same faulty logic as bitching at millennials for participation trophies. Like nigger, who the fuck do you think started that concept? It wasn't the child millennials.

bro i would literally prefer fighting ww2 tham live this hopeless financial trap oppression withou any chance of ever having normal family
>t. work overtime to afford 1 room apartment rent

This is so amazingly out of touch and reads like a temper tantrum. Kill all boomers.

That right there is that insufferable "it's everyone else's fault" attitude of Millennials too. Stop pretending your Boomer parents raised you to think trannies are cool.

>marched for gay marriage and let our kods transition
but that started with Gen Xer's, you fucking idiot
t. Millenial

ok boomer

>t.boomer

Did everyone forget we have gen x between boomers and faggot millenials.

Yes. I would 100% prefer have a multigenerational household. This way my parents could care of my children when Im at work.

its interesting how everything in ops post took place before boomers even existed except for communism and the viet wars.

My sides

>That right there is that insufferable "it's everyone else's fault" attitude of Millennials too.
The only thing insufferable is you ya faggot. The other poster is right previous generations happily paved the way, you can’t blame a product of intense propaganda on the one subjected to it. He’s fighting the degeneracy now, like the previous generations should have been.
You seem like you can’t pick sides, but don’t hesitate to hand out blame.
You’re either disingenuous or just retarded.

This. They didn't come up with that crap.

>Over the next 30 years, boomers will pass down $68 trillion as part of the "Great Wealth Transfer." That should cover it for many borrowers (the timing may suck, though).

This was the plan from the beginning. To scam retards into going to college and fill them with debt to collect their dead parents money

I would say the boomers largely encouraged it by their innaction. Trap here, who is pro gay marriage. The real issue with gay marriage I found in protesting is a complete naivety of my peers and a complete unbelievably naive view of how broken marriage already was. Conservitards acted like we where going to destroy marriage. When we finally won, It was like cresting the kill to find a collapsed building, and a grizzled priest and lawyer defending a still standing support beam with a bottle of broken wine and fountain tip pen.

Now that I'm a conservative myself I cant see what we where so pissed off about, we should have used the time to call attention to how broken marriage was. how it encouraged divorce and the destruction of families rather than the opposite.

t. Boomer

show flag retard
they let it happen because they where too busy to raise their own children.

There are npc boomers who tow the bullshit lines seen here and player character boomers who can see and think. My boomer mother says she feels sorry for males my age seeing how 20 something women are...

>would millennials rather we went back to the old system where the older generation lived with their adult kids who cared for them?
yes - one should be close with one's family
your parents care for you as a child, and you support them in their older years

imagine not wanting to be with and support your own family

>Boomers didn't live during the great depression, wtf
Just wait until they claim to have fought in the Civil War to end slavery, oh and in the Revolutionary War to found this country... you ungrateful little shit, why don't you respect the 6,000,000 Boomers that gave their life for you and your country!

Sauce on the Anime?

>The world we're leaving you is way better off than the one we got.
Lmao, not even libs think this.

>boomer magazine proclaiming boomers are the best generation.

Okay boomers

*fattest generation

A world where you started bringing in foreigners to pay for your retirement. And one where I'm highly unlikely to ever see a drop of Social Security. 50% of Americans live paycheck to pay check now, good luck selling one of your 3 homes.

>tl;dr you sold your kids and countries future for free gibs

Do they realize there's already a generation that is named the greatest generation

>tl;dr you sold your kids and countries future for free gibs
And then reverse-mortgaged the house so that the banks get it instead of the kids.

it sounds like a balanced view.
but OP ruins it with his call to apologize.

every generation has to tackle problems caused by previous generations, but unfortunately also create new problems. the path to hell is paved with good intentions.

just don't let the jews divide you into hating your elders, especially considering many were taken for the ride much like you are at the moment. you and them could hardly make a dent to the machine. the last mostly white generation is dying whether you hate them or like them. its a shame any way you look at it.

Boomers came up with gender theory and they started the gay rights movement

Attached: 1584420066269.jpg (960x720, 129.76K)

It's very on brand for boomers to take what they want, including titles.

I wish I could buy a house with my part time job wages too

If boomers were truly the greatest generation there wouldn’t be a headline about Muslim voters supporting a democratic socialist because Muslims wouldn’t even be a voting bloc

Lots of boomer/millennial/zoomer threads suddenly. I guess there was a shift change in Moscow.

False, see Weimar

This is such projection on the part of boomers who condemned their parents to nigger hive care homes

>gay rights movement
plenty of boomers were against it and still don't support gay marriage. consider that the left blamed brexit on boomers.

it's too easy to blame all boomers and not some boomers.

Reminder: all this boomer vs zoomers shit is a jew tactic to divide us even further.

Nah boomers are pretty shitty

It's true that generational warfare is largely about divide and conquer, but we also have to realize boomers as a generation were a cancer on our society. We would have less faggot millennials if they weren't raised to believe they were a unique one in a million good boy/girl. Boomers infantilized a generation, then bitched when they couldn't cope with the brave new world that was created.

it's getting closer to the election. they want to divide the votes by age since they've had issues using race and sex.

Article was written by a Millennial btw

>some boomer spent millions of dollars on this article just to essentially say "no u"

Attached: 1482282076045.gif (250x250, 992.8K)

I would personally not trust my mother or any boomer around any hypothetical kids

>mom fucked me over my entire life, especially my social/dating lifeskills in highschool
>"w-well if you have kids I'll watch them"

kek bitch I'm 28 I'm not interested in dating "for real" with used up roasties. Unlike a woman, a man can focus entirely on his career, why the fuck would I spend valuable time on roasties at this point in my life?

Though again this is also ignoring the fact I fucking despise boomers and want them to suffer in any and every way.

>would millennials rather we went back to the old system where the older generation lived with their adult kids who cared for them?

lol like the boomers would know shit about that. they practically invented the nursing home.

>We would have less faggot millennials if they weren't raised to believe they were a unique one in a million good boy/girl
it was generation X that raised millennials though, not boomers.
don't forget that social engineering tactics have advanced significantly over the last few decades. ((they)) have been able to control more people with ease compared to the days when not everyone had a TV in their home. there is a lot that you are overlooking, it's not as simple as blaming an entire generation.

At least a lot of them lost fucking millions in the jewish gambling market.

this is the Boomer worth the name

Attached: il_fullxfull.2045714728_f4fc.jpg (640x854, 133.47K)

>"great wealth transfer"

My grandparents died in the last 3 years and the will is going to payout in a few months to the tune of 250k or something like that. My boomer mom still tried to bill me 1,200 for shit she fucked up, merely because I finally amassed some decent savings.

Boomers will pass nothing on, they gloat about it and view themselves as being entitled to their children's wealth as well. More importantly by the time they die in like 30 years I'll already have my own fat stacks of cash, so why the fuck would I care about what pennies they might have leftover?

Attached: laughing bitches.jpg (1280x720, 126.71K)

Reminder that the people who complain about boomer hate threads are fucking newfags that need to leave or at least shut the fuck up. We've been having boomer hate threads for the past decade and boomers are cancerous old fucks that have nothing left to offer society.

>floods America with shitskins making it non-white
There's no forgiving them for destroying this country permanently

yep

well satan, with a broken family like that, it's no wonder you hate boomers and are afraid of starting your own family and thus feel comfort believing how women are portrayed on the internet.

>so why the fuck would I care about what pennies they might have leftover?
this is why you'll never be successful user.

>insufferable

Boomers have no use in a war, which is where this country is going towards. Your opinions are literally meaningless because generational solidarity only makes sense in the magic context of "at least I have muh constitution" which is the line pushed by boomer retards who don't understand shitskins don't give a fuck about the constitution. The white millennial and zoomer will have to fight for their very existence against the tides of browns brought in the last 30 years.

>Student loans? Student loan debt is $1.6 trillion. Over the next 30 years, boomers will pass down $68 trillion as part of the "Great Wealth Transfer." That should cover it for many borrowers (the timing may suck, though).
The problems is that most of that $68 trillion in inherited wealth will be going to the top 10% or so of millennials, who don't have student debt anyway because they came from rich families that could just pay for their college out of pocket.

The average millennial will be lucky to inherit anything but a run-down old tract home after the healthcare industry leaches away the retirement savings of the Boomers, and that house will be nearing the end of its intended usable lifespan, needing significant repairs before its even fit to sell.

millennials aren't that young anymore and they aren't as in touch as they think.

They're never going to die are they?
