Another was confirmed today, a German Shepherd in Hong Kong. The human owner now has corona. Did he get it from the dog or vice versa? We don't know.
Americans with families will soon be put in an awful dilemma. Do you put your health and your kids' ahead of your dog? Because there won't be enough tests for dogs. Owners won't put their dogs to sleep. Instead they will set them free.
This is a common sight in doomsday imagery. Packs of dogs of all breeds roaming neighborhoods seeking food. You will step outside looking for blacks, but now 20 diseased dogs of all sizes are circling you growling and snipping. If you don't give them food, you are the food.

They do not. They can not. There is not a single instance in human history of a dog catching a virus from a human. Rabies, the only virus transmutable to both, starts in dogs. There is one other virus but it has 2 different strains (one for humans, one for canines). All other diseases are bacteria or parasite based.
A virus jumping from a human to a canine has never happened in recorded history because biology is not that simple. Canines and humans are entirely too different.
