Postalfag here. The Post Office is mismanaged and perpetually understaffed. Being forced to carry overtime on other routes is routine. Most supervisors are former carriers or clerks who couldn't cut it. No other company would promote these dregs into management roles. They try to micromanage you using bullshit numbers and computer generated times when it just ends up beating you down to the point where you hate the fucking place I am thankful to have a steady job and top of pay scale wages are pretty good. Like the work, hate the PO as an institution. They beat every ounce of good attitude I used to have out of me. Sometimes doubt if I can stick it out long enough to draw pension.
