A. there is no lockdown and even today with 15k infected tested positive, people haven’t heard of social distancing or don’t care
B. Lack of clarity by authorities means that most people still think this is a “China only virus” or “European problem”, while infected numbers are skyrocketing.
C. Americans are extremely social people who hate face masks. They also don’t take kindly to lockdowns and will defy authorities at any point.
D. Prisons. Prisons in America include 2 million people. Most of them are overcrowded. The first prisoners have already tested positive, but the numbers infected are likely way higher, similar to the cruise ship problems - expect 30% of all prisoners to be infected at least.
E. No social net to build on. 70% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. They don’t have any social support net in case their weekly or monthly paychecks run out. In their desparation they will turn to crime, looting and prostitution - spreading the virus faster.
F. Megacities with poor neighborhoods. America is famous for homeless people and bad neighborhoods. Illiterate people living in these hoods will keep on socializing as they don’t believe the government’s advice on the corona spread. These hoods will eventually be sealed off by the military to protect richer areas.
Is this what your lugenpresse is telling you, Germanon?
Most Americans have been undergoing voluntary distancing for the better part of two weeks now. Most public schools are already shut down or in the process of doing so. All the colleges and universities switched to online teaching a week or two ago. Most large events and gatherings have been cancelled or postponed. Most Americans are chilling at home catching up on their streaming queues or reading lists (I've been plowing through GRR Martin, four books in two weeks, and I'm almost caught up on Expanse). The government is looking at distributing checks to working class Americans to alleviate the financial strain and has already approved measures to prevent people from being foreclosed, evicted, etc during the crisis. Prisons are still a problem, but there's not much you can do to get around that.
Meanwhile let's take a look at the reality in Europe - Italians are dying in droves, the Dutch are deliberately infecting their population in the hope of building up some retarded herd immunity, the Brits don't know what the fuck they're doing, and Merkel's actively monitoring German citizens and threatening a military-enforced lockdown if anyone so much as sneezes over the weekend without her approval, it's a fucking mess.

Poor black people seem to be taking this pretty serious they are even making rap songs about it
Jonathan Diaz
You missed out on the healthcare system bullshit. People have a phobia of visiting hopsitals doctors' offices due to the insane medical costs here. Not to mention there are a lot of people living here with underlying health conditions.
Either way, you're probably right. Shit's pretty fucked and the next several weeks are going to look nasty.
Jacob Fisher
You make it sound like a bad thing. I see prisons being empty and saving us taxpayers money as a good thing. The more people that die, the better
Josiah Rogers
The US will be the only big country to come out on top, they have wide roads, they all comute, the houses are all spaced, they only get close to each other if they do it on purpose, while in Europe the population is much more densely packed.
Christopher Sullivan
>People have a phobia of visiting hopsitals doctors' offices due to the insane medical costs This is a fucking good thing. This means retards with a mild case stay home and don't adopted the disease or clog up hospitals.
Jeremiah Bell
You're a retarded nazi
Lincoln Wilson
Americans all voluntarily started taking care of themselves a week or two before the government started closing businesses or declaring states of emergency.
Tyler Gomez
I also think Americans are likely to turn on each other.
1) You have what, 50 million illegals working in your country? They will either keep working or turn to crime. 2) You are racially diverse and you all hate each other 3) Your work/sick leave culture will struggle to deal with a lethal virus that only causes a cough in most people 4) Poor social safety net 5) All your antisocial types own guns. Your gun wont help you when they shoot you in the back. If you are a situation where it becomes common to be defending your home against armed raiders you have already lost your country.
Landon Long
Not here. People generally dont live in apartment blocks or multi generational homes. Those two things made it bad for the Italians. The sick and the old live with the young.
Andrew Clark
SPRING BREAK WOOOOOOO
Dominic Peterson
You are retarded. "anonymous sick people in public is a good thing, how than that possible affect me". Please choke.
Robert Kelly
imagine fantasizing about a happening this bad
Elijah Williams
In small hick towns and suburbia, sure.
Urban areas? No. They're fucked. New York is already super-fucked.
Tyler Hernandez
At least gas is below $1/gal. Who cares.
Hunter James
They will probably leave desu.
David Thomas
Its good if people with just a cough stay home and away from health care. Its bad if they go about their daily routine, which they likely will if they arnt locked in their homes.
Tyler Wright
Leave for Mexico? It will be worst there.
Jacob Sullivan
Better to die with family then with strangers.
Christopher Brooks
you forgot their epidemic obesity and diabetes
Jonathan Phillips
Their family is in the US now, I thought. Dreamers.
Dylan Sanchez
>216 deaths >125 recovered So the death rate in America is 50% holy fuck
Jackson Ramirez
Nah most are split. The dreamers are the baby they brought along.
>Its good if people with just a cough stay home and away from health care. People in America can't stay home. If we call in sick, we receive no pay at best and are fired at worst. I've had a cough for a week but I keep coming in to work because my bosses have mandated we don't get paid sick leave or extra PTO.
Ethan King
It helps that healthcare is and always has been treated as a personal responsibility in America rather than the responsibility of the State the way it is in Europe. Here, most people have been taking the initiative to limit their exposure, improve hygiene, self-isolate themselves, etc while in Europe everyone's running around like chickens with their heads cut off waiting for the State to tell them what they should do.
Apart from some Black Friday-tier panic shopping we've seen little to no signs of growing disorder in the US so far. People have been working hard to maintain supply lines for vital goods, volunteers at missions and church pantries have been delivering food to at-risk or isolated people, and there's been a genuine attitude of 'help thy neighbor' going around. I had surgery last week which has left me housebound and in a more at-risk state, and I've had no less than a dozen friends and coworkers come forward with offers to pick up groceries or medical supplies or check up on me if I need help around the house. The more I see, the more I'm convinced this will not be our country's downfall, but rather one of our finest hours.
Hunter Thompson
living government handout to government handout is the same as paycheck to paycheck Hans Craig Schumacher.
America will get hit hard due to population density of major cities and the poor general health of your average middle aged American. Not because of our healthcare system.
Probably similar numbers to China, despite our lower population, simply because only an authoritarian government like China's could quarantine so effectively.
Dominic Cooper
This. One of the good things about America is that businesses were the first to respond. Then schools. We don’t need big govt to tell us how to fucking respond, we do it ourselves.
William Young
kids be chillin in florida cuz "we've been waiting for the spring break for soooo long, you know?"
Carson Rogers
t. Delusional eurofaggot who has visited America twice and has no idea what he’s talking about
Thomas Wilson
Kikes lying and trying to destabilize the USA? Nothing new
Cameron Gutierrez
you forgot to mention niggers and spics clogging the medcal system
Yes, but big govt.'s incompetency to create a decent amount of test kits in time (and we had potentially 2 months of prep time, we knew about this shit in january and they didn't do fuck all about it outside of saving their own skins via insider trading,) is a major issue that can't be handled by small businesses, families and schools.
Nicholas Cruz
Yeah, so I see a lot of really positive bullshit here and I want to give this place a dose of reality as a Floridian. People do not give a fuck. Staying at home? Social distancing? We had zoomers out the ass roaming our beaches and crowding together. Most of them aren't locals. There's a good chance a decent amount are now infected and think they're alright because they're not showing symptoms. They're going to spread it like crazy as they head back home. Earlier this week and some of last it suddenly became politicized to go out? Like we're sticking it to retards like AOC by being out? This is gonna be bad for us and any burger on here acting like we're actually doing the right thing is a dunce
Parker Reyes
>a situation where it becomes common to be defending your home against armed raiders Isn't America already like that though?
Liam Smith
Yea it b bad
Joseph Taylor
>We had zoomers out the ass roaming our beaches and crowding together I'm in fucking Michigan and people were doing the exact same. Standing out in the cold in huge lines to get into a tightly packed bar for St. Patricks day
Gabriel Cook
Yikes sweetie
Jose Baker
Your confusing America with dense urban city centers, of which there are only a few.
Joseph Myers
>dense urban city centers, Almost every farmer has a colony of Mexicans living on their land. We are about to see South Africa levels of rural bloodbath
Noah Gonzalez
America will save the world again. We will come through this relatively unscathed and then help everyone else. The rest of the world will continue to put on airs about how much better they are then us but we'll all know better.
Levi Price
Got a text from a delivery driver friend last night - people were crowding the bars and restaurants because it was the last night before they were locked down. Retards were out for one last hoorah. This country is doomed.
Jayden Adams
I warned a lot of my friends who have left Florida about this virus weeks ago and they all laughed at me but now I get texts from them all the time as it's getting worse and they're all worried cause so many people don't give a shit. They're now trying their warn their loved ones and they don't give a shit. It's insane to read some of the responses here. Americans are taking the initiative? We're uniting about this? These posts are either in secret little enclaves of heaven that the rest of us Americans are blind to or LARPing or glowies trying to keep things calm. It's worrying how little people care about what is shaping up to be a genuine happening
Dominic Morgan
Death rate in the US 50%
Robert Carter
The US federal government is much more similar to the EU.
The states are like the individual European countries. Yes some will go down, like Italy did and some will be fine.
Jaxon Martin
To be fair urban areas aren't America.
Brody Richardson
There are still a lot of retards refusing to isolate themselves
Nolan Parker
>we'll be hit by a fake virus oh no, im so worried!
Lucas Young
The USA is pretty big yeah. If I was Italian-American I would be shitting bricks given what is happening in Italy. COVID-19 could easily hit US citizens of Italian descent the same way.
This. I'm genuinely optimistic about the future for the first time in a long time because everyone around me is getting redpilled hard on the glaring problems with modernity and globalism, everyone is being very friendly and genuinely cares about the health and safety of others around them, and manufacturing in all but guaranteed to come back over here big time.
Everyone hated the status quo, left right whatever. This is just the reset we needed
David Peterson
>mutts so dysfunctional they need to tell police to not look for crime anymor and people to stop shoot each other as much >they keep doing shit like Springbreak and pretend to be irish day >wE IS dA BeSt
Yeah have fun making Italy and China look like happy fun times
Jeremiah Murphy
I live in a 4 unit apartment in Cork with a window facing a high traffic road. If you think people here are practising social distancing I've got bad news for you. I see groups of 3 to 4 walking close together all day. People here have very little concept of personal space at the best of times. There is a reason they're predicting 15 000 cases by the end of next week.
Oliver Peterson
>implying there's a difference between someone with kungflu, flu, common cold, aids, or herpes
if they're going to go out and spread it, it doesn't matter what they are diagnosed with, they're going to go spread it. faggots like you who think people miraculously change their habits because of a diagnosis are living in dreamworld.
Eli Martin
how's austria doing? hope you could prepare enough and we didnt infect you too much
I agree. Urban america is like most 3rd world shithole big overcrowded cities with elite living luxuriously in pricey high rise condos with high security overlooking squalor
Ryan Bell
just a flu brah, why prevent it anyway if God decided your time has come, you gotta go
