What's wrong with American food? I buy American food from the international part of the supermarket and it's not bad. The issue is this chlorinated chicken, which is basically about the USA being too clean with their products.

But the EU cannot lecture about American food standards when beef burgers were found with horse meat and human meat DNA in them, or all the cases of salmonella eggs from the Netherlands or salmonella chocolate coming in from the EU.

Sure our import market will open up to more US food/agri products as well as other things but you can buy meat basically anywhere and it's not all substandard poverty tier. Argentine beef is pretty good and this is from someone that's eaten it, it's nice.
