If we don't get our liberties back - all of them - then there's a case to say that this virus was one of the most transformative events in human history.

9/11: FEAR (that something worse might happen), but outside the event as-it-happened and people's fixation on it and MSM reporting on it, for 99% of people it was life as usual. The impact wasn't directly felt for anyone not in ground 0 or in the Iraq wars. 9/11 was basically a giant attitude adjustment that crushed the new-millennium optimism.

Corona is a whole different beast. It's a slow moving trainwreck across the globe and impacting most people's lives in some way, or a hurricane/natural disaster that's hitting everywhere. No one knows how we'll be when we reach the other end of the tunnel, or even how long the tunnel will be. Maybe we'll get lucky and by the end of the summer there will be a good treatment for it.
