We are currently in a hiring freeze, however we are still producing product, and as much as we've lost in global sales, and future orders, we've gained in American retail, and CCP governmental purchases, which have quadrupled since about 3 weeks ago. We produce about a third of the worlds supply of a certain product.

The people I work for do hundred million dollar deals on a bar napkin. I wont be going anywhere, our department just migrated roughly 250 people from an accounting department to work from home status. Now, we maintain, and when the shit ends, or hits the fan ill be ready.

The real redpill is that coding is no longer a separate discipline but has become a requirement for even banal Data Analysis Manager jobs which will never actually use programming in any meaningful way. I work for chase HQ in San Antonio. Decent salary at 50k and 4-5 weeks payed off. Business is crazy. They’re asking us for overtime and they have staff wiping shit down constantly. I work with credit card customers and every other caller is saying they were layed off and asking for assistance. The sad reality is this shit hit hard. They let us know that we can take time off as needed as well and gave us a few additional days off payed and will work with anything past that if needed. I hope I have job security due to the heavy work load but only time will tell. I’ve got 30k saved up so a mandatory unpaid time off would be the perfect scenario to ride this out if need be
