I've recently had a scratchy throat last week that went away with a few bouts of feeling a little flushed and hot as well. No full blown fevers, hacking cough, or shortness of breath as of yet. Back in January I had legit the worst case of viral bronchitis I've ever had that held on for a month. Is there any chance that it could have been COVID-19 back then or a similar strain?

I work at a hospital and I called work to tell them about sudden symptoms of flu with a painful troath and dry coughing. They asked me to measure my temp and it was 36,9 celsius which is below 37,5 celsius so i was forced to go to work. At least I can blame my boss and section doctor if I end up killing some elderly patients. We also have to spend hours disinfecting EVERY FUCKING PHYSICAL CONTACT POINT, every single fucking day. This shit is real and I'm fucking tired of it, I just want it to be over and not do this fucking disinfection shit all the fucking time. Every fucking spot a hand has or MAY touch is to be disinfected. I almost WISH I had corona so I could just chill at home and not fucking disinfect my skin off every fucking day.

Not sure how deadly it is because deaths vs testing...they only test the people in bad shape...so there could be far more who have it...so death rate could be much lower...or a little lower..who knows. My roommate got it, gave it to me, his girlfriend and her kids got it. No procedures were in effect so I also passed it to my immediate coworkers.
No symptoms initially.
After 1 week: mild almost indescribable fever, runny nose, cough.
The cough was not in the throat but getting out massive chunks of phlegm. 5 days consisted of half dollar sized wads of dark green shit, occasional brown when waking up first thing in the morning.
Its been 3 weeks since it initially presented and I still have a cough, less phlegm and white/clear.
Roommate got it 5 weeks ago and still has the cough.

My doc and one person on my street have it.

It's real. The response is overblown though, only reason any country's health system is overwhelmed right now is every idiot with the sniffles is afraid and creating a massive burden of those caring for people who are really sick.
