republicans want to base it on tax returns. democrats will make the argument that the lowest income individuals are the least likely to file tax returns, but are the ones who will need the financial help the most. any proposal that is based on tax returns is NOT getting through a democrat controlled house.

Yeah it's bullshit. I can't figure out if I'm getting money because I filed a 1099 in 2018 for 16,500. I paid like 2 grand in taxes because I'm "self employed" (i'm not, I just have a higher tax liability at 15% because I'm self employed.) They excluded self employment pay on the bill. It's garbage. I'm a tax payer.
