I have a plan.
meat will be infected with corona
enjoy the infected meat
They are already rising here. Little by little, but fear of shortages are real.
Meat was the reason for corona in the first place, animal products should be banned.
Glad I filled my freezer with half of a cow from a local farm months ago.
T. Malnourished
The main problem is a shortage of labor as meat producers and processors attempt to keep up output with minimal crews.
I'm a butcher and we are still stocked with red meat besides burger and chicken as well.
Good. I had to deal with overpriced meat for so long that it's only fair that burgers feel the same as well.
All it takes is one employee to get sick and the floor could be taken offline
>m-muh macros
Lol yours will get higher too but thats about the foresight i expect from a leaf
shizo
Beef prices will for sure I’m a butcher my cost on outside flats (shit tier cut) has gone from $6/kg to $11/kg
Kill yourself schizo.
Mushrooms and cheese lads. Fuck their prices and fuck their taint. This corona will be spread out by companies the rest of the year to make money back from the shit they’re forced to spend.

Well shucks.
Oh wait I am a hunter so I've got a full freezer already.
thanks, just bought over 9000!!!
Youve never been in a national emergency of any level. Price gouging/fixing? Bahahaha complete dolt. The only crimes they will lock your ass up for and fine your future family to the ground for. Not saying it wont happen..price gouging always happens..but youre an idiot if you think its not a high priority issue they dont look at.

Will this affect luxury soup?
>you won't eat this anymore
Went to the shops and 90% of shelves were empty except for rump steaks
>and this too
Just enjoy your meat well-done with ketchup like POTUS and you'll be OK
Northern Alberta friendo
Exactly. That is why they are taking very strict precautions.
>German
Problem solved. Meat is cheaper than dirt here.
>he doesn't know that bugs are animals
EAT THE FUCKING BUGS NIGGER
>He doesn't raise Chickens and grow his own crops
Laughing
Hopefully chicken stays cheap. That's all I need to stay Yas Forums.
This would be my final meal if I was on death row.
The meat you cant buy at any price in the grocery store is going to get more expensive?
Yeah they already raised the price of tasters choice by 30% and that's not on the shelf either
The virus mutated and its AIRBORNE TOMMROW READ IT HERE 1ST
How about you don’t eat meat, and shut your fucking face?
Thank god, can't wait for all fats to commit suicide
No way. The price of chicken has been out of control for a while now. It might go up. But who cares? Pork and beef are still cheap and they taste better anyway
Why so cruel, user?
Faggot Mcfaggorton reporting in...
This is not about price gouging.
My friend works for a major exporter of US pork and beef and she told me that she has never seen the prices spike as high as the past couple of days.
The price spike will of course be passed onto the customers soon.
Did you know: North Koreans are Vegan?
Dead people eat less. Meat prices will plunge.
>He doesn't have land in which he has his own pigs, sheep, chickens and cows
Lol, townies will be the first to die.
Looks like I'll be eating a nothingburger after all
All the meat is gone in the city I live
everything essential will skyrocket in price...except oil, we don't need that in a recession where we all are quarantined and under curfew.
Patriot act is still on the books
What happens when they shut down the meatpackers when someone gets sick
Blue cities will starve
That doesn't make a whole lot of sense since a lot of ranchers are currently culling their herds based on feed prices being unusually high. There should be a high supply of beef and pork. Add in the fact that the restaurant market is plummeting and I can't see how prices are rising short term. If we fast forward 6-12 months I could definitely see a spike in prices since herds will have already been culled, restaurants will presumably be back online, etc.
Hopefully the Halaal/kosher Swan Hill abbattoir in Victoria Australia goes out of business. They hire HUNDREADS of 457 visa holding arab migrants who eventually are given permanent residency for themselves and their famalies. They have NEVER looked after the interests of everyday Australians and have only cared about their own financial gain.
Did you read the post I was replying to?
> For the study, scientists used a nebulizer to spray the coronavirus into the air in a manner similar to a cough. The virus could be detected in the air up to 3 hours later. Researchers also placed samples on a variety of surfaces. They found the virus could survive for up to 4 hours on copper, as many as 24 hours on cardboard, and two to three days on plastic and stainless steel.
It's the return of stagflation this is not good
>vegans

Went to 2 stores earlier looking for meat, pretty much sold out, was able to get some chicken breasts and cube steaks and 1 pack of burger, how the fuck am i supposed to live without my burger?!
“That’s why I’m proud to be an American.” -Adam Sandler in Anger Management
I don't eat meat
It's hard to get ANY soup in CDN stores. I'm not joking.
>UN
You mean New York?
Not in our case.
The only goods that will run low and therefore might become much pricier, will ironically be vegetables and fruits as both of them aren't produced in a self-sufficient manner in Germany.
Same goes for fish, honey, and to a certain degree eggs.
The level of self-sufficiency in terms of meat and milk products is at ~100 - 130%.
Potatoes even at ~150%.
Feeder cattle are at a five year low at $1.13 a pound
Relax man don't be so hard on yourself.
You have cheap food prices is it because of farm subsidies?
When and where has chicken been cheap?
Yop.
Massive ones.
And I also think we might somehow have protective tariffs, as far as I remember.
It's cheaper than beef
>Makes prediction a retard could make with current trends
>Doesn't have freezer full of fish and meat he's hunted
Haha these farmers are upset they only get 100,000 in CAP.
By my rough calculations you are paying your farmers $75 a year per person versus about $35 here
euractiv.com
is anybody seeing a pattern here???
Yes. Memes about toilet paper arise on the internet. IRL toilet paper becomes scarce. Now, meat's going to be harder to buy.
Maybe it's preppers buying bulk and stuffing their freezers all at once. The whole bug feeders scare and chinkfluenza has only encouraged meatzism.
> "The problem could only be solved if value chains were shortened, without the processing and retail industry receiving a big part of the profits made from agricultural products."
I can already hear the screeching of certain entities in the background.
And yea, the amount of subsidies is insane.
