You can buy a gun and ammo online very easily and cheaper than you could at a store (you skip the middle man), but it is back-ordered about a month last time I checked. It could be more. If this lasts for 6 months like they predict you could buy a gun at the store and get the ammo online for half the price and it should be delivered before shit totally hits the fan.

The issue here is that while you can still purchase a gun online, it has to be shipped to an FFL. Because of the Shelter In Place orders here, all FFLs are closed. So effectively, firearm purchases are impossible.

By the way I recommend a 38 for first time gun owners. Its small and easy to handle and its a stopper. You hit someone with it and they are going down hard. If you can't find guns just get a nice crossbow with a night scope. I have seen these take down a 300 pound deer easily. If you hit someone in the face with it they have no chance.
