I play the devil advocate: civil cremation is a different procedure than a cremation on industrial level were you don't have to care about the ashes of the deaths. A civil cremation procedure requires that at the end of the process you have to take the ashes of a single individual and putting them into an urn. An industrial methodology instead wouldn't care about mixing the ashes of several individuals, so the process would speed up
