Are people really getting fired or laid off in massive numbers?

Are people really getting fired or laid off in massive numbers?

I personally don't know anyone fired . But the news keeps telling me this so...

Attached: 165796-full.jpg (640x694, 64.7K)

Yes.

And the corrupt senators are voting against a stimulus package despite the fed being able to set value and print money.

Everyone's showing their colors when they run out of shit paper.

Be honest, you know like four people OP

Yes. Live in Vegas. Almost everyone I know is laid off.

I got laid off dummy.

No supply chain, no customers, no jobs.

I just got a text from someone saying that they are fired wtf is going on

Attached: cringe.png (632x484, 447.51K)

We are doing a 30% staffing reduction starting next week. Wagies just get pruned, I’m salary and vital, so I just get to take a day and a half off each week.

I’m working from home. I’m basically being paid to wank over cam girls. I want this virus to last forever.

1200 at my company this week

yep 2 friends fired this week

one of my friends got laid off, my dad has every other week off now, mom working from home, another friend is off until further notice, i had 4 days off.

do you personally know anyone who died?

Here, yes. Literally tens of thousands a day. It's a bit of a fucking mess.

Apparently some big industries that are doing WELL right now will take lots on for a multi-month casual basis. Our supermarket chains for instance are taking on airport and flight crews. Since they have stood down like 60k employees but supermarkets are literally closing down due to staff shortages. So sort of a share the load situation I guess.

>I personally don't know anyone fired
That's because you're obviously a teenager if you're still using that overused pic. "Mommy and daddy haven't been fired so no one else will be fired" is literal brainlet-tier thinking.

And yes, I already know several people who've been laid off, one who likely will soon. While people in certain industries (food production/distribution) are being overworked to keep up with demand. Just because your little zoomer brain can't comprehend what's happening yet doesn't mean it's not happening.

I just finished the paperwork for firing almost 100 people from different small companies, so I would say yeah, people are being laid off.

T. Lawyer.

commiefornia here, can confirm. everyone in the bay area have been grounded form work and businesses are forced to close unless they are essential services even fast food is drive thru only now.

My city (Austin) fired everyone on the most popular street and took out the furniture and boarded up all the businesses out of fear of riots.

I'm hearing the mother of a family crying downstairs because she can't work. Idk what's going on lads.

buddy works in industrial laundry for hotels.

No people traveling, means nobody staying in hotels

No people in hotels, no laundry being generated

No laundry being generated, no need for industrial detergents

No need for industrial detergents, no need for sales engineers

Get laid off and lose health insurance because of a pandemic. US healthcare is f’d up. But the insurance companies got to keep the premiums I paid when healthy. Yay!

Also fast food delivery like uber eats and restaurants are tanking hard. But supermarket chains have literally turned off online ordering because no one to pick and pack and deliver the goods. So many workers will make a switch from there.

I got fired too...

Won't be able to pay my rent this week.

Willing to sell nudes.

I'm a guy.

Or donate to my patreon please.

Will do anything... Eating noodles and potatoes I found in my neighbours dumpster.

Montgomery county, PA here. I’m laid off and tons of others are. My landlord is a fucking faggot, never knew he was a Jew until I looked up hid last name to find Holocaust websites.

mfw I cant work due to the rona and cant get trumpbux cause self employed.. T.T

My dad had to switch jobs

Trump needs to do something NOW. April isn't going to cut it. NOW.
I'm 100% expecting military in the streets of all four major cities in texas because riots will happen by next week.

What the fuck do you think people will do when they don't have money, food, jobs, and they can't take their parents/grandparents to the hospital because the US isn't making more hospitals? And fuck the beds, we won't have nurses or doctors.

buy guns
buy MRE's and grow your own plant shit
set up hydroponics
grow aloe
start raising at least 2 chickens
and board up your windows

its coming

Also I'm in Sydney which is pretty much ground zero in our country. It's chaos at the moment, but if faggots stop freaking out, balance can be found.

Pic related. I work nights at a supermarket and study during the day. We're literally short mike 10-15 guys MINIMUM everynight, with everyone pulling overtime. We could take on another 20-30 people ez during this shit. Same with every store. So that's probs what will happen. No idea what marketing or like...art fags will do though.

Same city, seeing 6th closed up like that is fucking strange. Literally half this town works in the service industry and they're not known for having lots of disposable income. It's gonna get fucking weird here, man.

No they aren't It's a bunch of commie tramps on twitter who don't even have jobs talking about 'muh gig economy'

I wage slaved for Cinemark
Got fired because of corona two days ago.
Looking for new job, don't want to take food stamps. Would rather work.

OMG THEY CLOSED DOWN ALL THE 6TH STREET BARS?! WHERE CAN ROASTIES AND CHADS GO NOW TO BE DEGENERATE COOMFERS?

Yes. I'm a student at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. This city relies on the money from university students to stay afloat. The university deserted, gym shut down, libraries, restaurants. Everything. All the student workers are out of jobs too. What about the non-university businesses that relied on students during the 6 months of the year they're here? Gone. All gone.

I got fired yes, my company went to 1% of original income so they just closed until they can operate on the street again.

Most likely not going to happen soon, but in theory they will rehire us.

This country owes you for being so incompetent and greedy that it’s hell on earth

You qualify for a special enrollment period. Get the bronze package and you’ll be fine.

getting crazier out there

if shit recovers lol

Hurr.
All the bars/restaurants on congress/red river/rainy are closed too.
The city already lost millions by cancelling the biggest festival of the year and now the people are going to get fucked out of their rent by their kike landlords.

Attached: 5533214782.png (640x694, 407.89K)

Everyone I know who works in a restaurant was temporarily fired. Everyone I know who works in the supply chain for restaurants was fired. I do IT at a furniture retailer and I'm pretty sure we'll shut down soon. There's no customers and the manufacturers have no furniture to send us.

>I'm 100% expecting military in the streets of all four major cities in texas because riots will happen by next week.
I can't wait for the Austin riots. EVERYONE in the service industry just got laid off and shit's gonna get wild. The NG base here is probably already making preparations, they know full well what's coming. A Yellow Vest-style protest movement is all but imminent.

I love how they want us to stay off the streets away from each other, so... they're going to debate in DC while landlords kick people out and foreclosures start up. Sending everyone out into the streets. Fucking brilliant, guys.

Did you have a stroke?
I'm not owed anything.
I'm not greedy, I want to work for my money.
Would rather starve than take welfare.

No idea what you tried to say with your post.

Trumpbux are for every adult citizens regardless of any other criteria. Read the bills and stop listening to Yas Forums, retard.

My brothers job is firing off 20% of their workers

I forgot she's a porn star and only looks cute in this :| meme pic.

Yup. This isn't some hippy occupy wallstreet bs anymore. This is effecting everybody in all major cities. In texas at least.
No hospitals are being made and we're running out of beds/nurses/doctors.

The whole restaurant/bar scene just shut down. That's at least a 3rd of the fucking jobs young people work here GONE overnight. Not just on the floor people either, all the distributors ect. are getting fucked as well.

I know like 100 people who have been fired from one company in Wyoming.

yes. Center Parcs have shut down, small businesses that were running on the edge are collapsing, everything is going up in flames

Yes, everyone I know with a better job than me has been laid off minus the one drug dealer I know. Only reason I haven’t been is because I’m an essential worker an I’m only part time.
T.Los Angeles gas attendant

corona is an april fools joke

I work for a company that makes anti-bacterial wipes - so far no layoffs.

Six weeks ago these cocks were rubbing their hands together thinking about all the money they were going to make off of the coronavirus.
But then last week these geniuses realized part of their supply chain goes through Italy and China. I'm expecting a "don't come in" call most anytime.

Attached: amused roboperson.jpg (782x788, 320.63K)

Like every restaurant and bar in major cities are closed. Every hourly employee is basically let go and half of these businesses won’t survive.

Weird thing is how quickly lay offs are happening. All these businesses, huge one's too...claiming they don't have enough reserves for one week of non trade. That's some seriously piss poor fiscal management.

>Get laid off and lose health insurance because of a pandemic. US healthcare is f’d up
lol you are pathetic, aren't you? There's COBRA, there's also the fact that losing job is a 'qualifying event' to get your own insurance, no wonder why you're in the type of job that was first to go. Dumb as fuck

>corona is an april fools joke
the lock down isn't

mass lay-offs at my place are almost certainly in the pipeline.
We run corporate events for big business. During the summer, we were taking over 1 million a month, now we're losing 15k a day.

I've already taken on responsibilities of a colleague who was let go and no doubt someone in a position senior to me will take on my role when the time comes.
The only possible thing that might save me from the chop is that I deal with supply & inventory, and good luck looking for [items a, b and c] if I'm not there.

Company alredy warning me of what will be happening ib a month lets say.
Currently most of us are on payed "leave"
With small tems working in the field
Im due to work a week as well.
Bcs of that im not thinking about getting fired, also my work is hospital related.
But other people will, boss alredy told me how it works, next step is for the city to take over some part and ur company, ul be registered half time or part time. Ul receive roughly 85%of pay. After that there is only the state.

In my estimate, in a month or two there will be massive layoffs here. Three months for the leftovers.

Gg

Or a good use of the situation to fire faggots without having to pay redundancy or face public backlash, if that's a thing

Austin too. Is there a giant monster outside by the way? I’m hearing something terrifying moving around

Witnessed, so if you’re employed you’re still getting TrumpBux right?

My brother's girlfriend just got laid off yesterday. My mom's best friend works for Marriott and they cut all employee wages 30% for the foreseeable future. Recession is here

Perhaps. Seems like a dangerous move though.

My bank had an employee reduction due to cutting costs just before the virus went mainstream.

Yesterday I received a 10% wage rise.

>Small business owner, i.e. self-employed
>Online sales only of a completely non-essential product (collectible items)

Sales down 90% this week across all channels. Living off of savings right now. I can last a few weeks, then would have trouble. Rent, insurance, etc. all continues.

>That's some seriously piss poor fiscal management.
You have no idea. Half the bars here operate paycheck to paycheck, hiring "cool" people as managers who aren't qualified to run a lemonade stand. They waste money on things like $750 a month survey tablets and overstocking with bullshit no one buys, while their employees survive on tips. The amount of establishments that are crumbling after 5 days of slow business is eye-opening, to say the least. Once this is over, the only places left will be corporate-owned.

Restaurant staff are fucked in south florida.

It’s almost as if they don’t give a fuck about their workers. Pretty sure after it’s all said an done America’s politics are gonna change so dramatically probably even more so than after 9/11.

My gf and our room mate are pretty much fucked. If we break the lease, we have to pay 1600 dollars. Shits pretty fucked.

You don't know anyone who works in the service sector? People don't go anywhere but supermarket.

Know tons of people laid off. Like half of me friends are NEETs now.

If you were laid off, you were never a valuable employee. Remember, get a job where you are absolutely essential

I live near St. Louis and if Boeing goes belly-up this whole region is doomed.

50.000 people fired on monday alone in Austria

got fired, applied for new jobs, all jobs closed because corona virus

still have to pay taxes and obey the government, fuck this world and fuck the european union, this virus will make Europe burn

Young people are very disposable people in the workforce.

She’s a lizard person

I’m a gas attendant so should I just make this my career since technically I’m an essential worker?

I work in the food supply chain. Trucks haven't stopped. Food import hasn't stopped. My job is secure. My partner is in the medical industry making pharmaceuticals. Her job is safe. We have months worth of food stockpiled. Sucks to be not us though.

This is looking like it's going to be a nationwide 9/11, Katrina and 2008-09 recession COMBINED. Fucking zoomers really lucked out with that one kek. I mean I'm fucked too, but for someone just graduating high school/college it must seem like the world's ending.

Attached: 1571982287847.jpg (1484x1041, 711.27K)

name please

Like 10% of the country are essential now. A fucking shelf stacker is more essential than a lawyer or investment banker right now. Kinda weird.

It's gonna suck to be you in a short period of time when angry mobs of people rape and kill you.

They're making us work half shifts and getting paid in full, and if quarantined we'll still get paid. I work in an analytical marijuana lab. You cant sell hemp or marijuana without a lab like ours giving official analysis and workflow/samples have been coming in just as normal. We actually have had increased work because a few clients desperately need money/put product out because they got rekt in stock market. People are gonna wanna get high so even if this becomes a depression I think my field is somewhat insulated to this.

Same lol fuck cagies

People were telling me they felt really sorry for me at the end of last week. Now people are asking me to get them jobs. It's a bit strange.

No one will be laid off where I work since Trump fired up the defense production act.

they're laying off people to cut the job market forever

Schools are closed nationwide. That’s every teacher, janitor, aide, substitute, therapist, counselor, etc out of a job.
Restaraunts and bars are closing in many states. That’s every server, barback, bartender, host, manager, owner out of a job.
Gyms and theaters are closing in many states, etc etc

I personally know 3 people without a job, out of 4 people lol one of my friends works in a dermatology office and they’re still running

Oh and they have all our IT/data guys work from home

Why are there so many Austin fags in this thread?

T. Kyle Chad

i hope so or im fucked too lol

In slovenia they do. the crisis has already caused massive impact on tourism industry (reservation cancellation etc) many are being laid-off because small businesses cant pay rent, loans etc.

Corona wont be the end but it sure will break the economy in ways that 2008 will seem laughable.

Soon they either cull 50% or more of population or do something, else there are going to be anarchistic communities and worldwide war. People are not going to just starve to death in peace.

My feeling is that this is going to quickly hit Great Depression levels, BUT when the virus problem lowers, there will be an ungodly boom. Like an economic baby boom.

Hopefully I can buy a house in the downturn.
