Well, I guess my job is recession proof. What's yours look like?

Maybe some peoples prep plan is having hedges and trees cut back and weeds removed kek
Those boomers need their lawns mown until the end of the earth
I work for a major telecommunications company. I can't be laid off. When SHTF during emergencies we are issued letters from Homeland Security to allow us into closed areas and get head of line privileges in case of fuel rationing. Those letters have been issued during two hurricanes already.
The last BIG happening was the economic meltdown in 2008. Never affected my job and in 2011 I bought my house at less than half its value with a VA ARM. My introductory interest rate has gone down twice since the 5 year period ended.
I'm planning to buy a vacation property this go round.
I work at a rehab...
Business is a booming.
Good to know their deranged lawn-worship exists on the other side of the planet, too.
Yeh I'm fucked. Just started my own consultancy business and my clients are going to be impacted by these silly personal distancing rules. I was under the impression that we would go into a temporary lockdown like Italy, however the Govt here is memeing that it will be like this for 6 months or more, it will crash the entire economy and the ponzi debt scheme it is built on.
This
*ahem*
Environmental consultancy.
Most everyone has peaced out to work from home.
Some of our clients have started putting their projects on hold while this shut gets sorted out.
Other clients have already laid off their environmental staff and will be using our guys as contractors, essentially.
I think there's a possibility I might be facing layoffs in a month or two, but Canada recently launched their economic stimulus package.
Chances are things are going to be okay.
Bartender here, we just closed up the place yesterday and I'm out of a job for at least the next couple weeks.
I'm a lowly food runner but the quarantine has made me busy enough to make as much as I did on weekends, everyday. I'm not complaining about $25+/hr riding my bike moving food for people but money is seemingly feeling useless as store shelves run dry
I'm the guy bringing the containers so i guess I'm good. This last month has been the slowest I've ever seen it.
I put the little censor bars on the pornography, been busy as hell lately.
with the quarantine and the sex clubs all shut down business is cooming
*booming
I work as a 911 dispatcher so I guess you could say my job is secure, as terrible as that sounds.
top five funniest reasons for dispatch?
What kind of censor bar do you like most?
Mosaic patch, big black bar, tiny almost useless black line, white dot?
1.Black People shenanigans
2.Negro tomfoolery
3.Afro antics
4.Coon craziness
5.Nigga-nogga-jigga-booga-bix-nood-mane
I was always partial to the thin black line that partially obscures the frenulum
still got work for weeks
I thought AI did that. Thats a fucking job? You are crushing it.
how is the pay for crematorium workers anyway?
Japs porn isn't great to begin with, then censoring it, just ruins it. The BDSM from your country is good or use to be.
Was working at a amusement center but they closed for 2 weeks. So now decided to start editing youtube videos to get the adbux. So far only doing sports like mma but considering moving to political stuff what do you girls recommend?
Al died of viral pneumonia a few weeks ago, I’ve been filling in for his load too, my hand is cramped like you wouldn’t believe.
IT fag at Akamai. They say Daniel Lewin is still alive. Israel is legit fucked though off chatter here.
I'm a budtender in CA and the cannabis industry is considered an "essential service" so I'm gucci for now.
Sorry to the many bartenders though.
>make car parts
>chinese are my competitors

>trump puts a stop to that horseshit
>can now outcompete chinks

Trump is a retarded orange faggot, but fuck the kikes who wrangled that little bit of legislation straight into the dirt with a thick piece of rusty rebar
Marketing. Got laid off Monday morning.
kek now THAT'S job security
I hope they deem your duties essential user.
buisness is always good
Breath deep!
I work in a pro sports front office in data science, we are still getting paid, but our office is closed and I am working from home. My boss, an executive-level who also manages, is a slave driver. He gets. Fat paychecks to take credit for my work, yet he is bugging me daily on our office chat app to make sure I’m busting my hump. Our league isn’t opening back up anytime soon. The owner pledged to keep paying us for at least the next two months, and I technically have a contract, so hopefully I’ll be set as far as employment. The value of the dollar and anarchy could cause me plenty of pain however.
i work in defense. layoff proof.
care to share more than that?
I work in a gun factory. The demand is there. But global supply chain being fucked is making job security questionable.
Trucking, hauling dairy / baby formula. Its so weird, people act friend to me suddenly. No worries, they'll get back to cutting me off and flipping me off once this all blows over.
:)
i work on the tracker portion of the us ballistic missile defense system

>300 part order from Amazon waiting for me when I get back.
Domestic production is going to come back in a big way baby.
I didn’t know they used torrents for that
Webdev, seems safe especially now since everyone needs to be inside and probably using the web
I used to work there too. In the US, the profligate waste and corruption under the DoD is a joke. I worked on the authentication portal for a highly critical system that stores our most valuable research. I was totally unqualified for the job at the time, and was instructed to lie to the SME to procure more money. The contractor I worked for, had a friend, “Tony”, who worked in the DoD and was overseeing this project. He had a vested interest in giving us the contract and having us lie about our costs, capabilities and complexity of the project in order to raise the price and increase his cut. Disgusting and unethical. I quit and took my dream job instead.
Parking lot cleaner.
As long as grocery stores stay open, I'll have a job cleaning up fuckos trash.
>300 part order for “Amazon”
>I wonder what amazon needs with 300 high-pressure high-flow-rate heat-resistant viscous gel sprayer jet nozzles?
>oh well
>CNC machine goes BRR BRR
DoD contractor
Sitting comfy, got the best gig ever
you're a funny guy
By the way, this was right after a major data breach that has undoubtedly cost us billions of dollars and probably lives.
>UPS guy
We'll get hit next week with Christmas-tier numbers of packages I'm guessing
Sorry I’m bored and have nothing better to do
>CNC machine goes BRR BRR
Yes it does japanon, yes it does.
Fart tracker here. Very little leads since the quarantine.
IT running my ass of, never been so busy
I work for Meijer and I'm virtually guaranteed 50 hours next week. It's a pretty safe job to be in right now.
Data mining thread.
I work in pharma in Boston.
Not great.
>work in international shipping
>thought I was fucked but if what OP said is true I should be okay
Thanks OP
Work in title insurance. These low interest rates are swamping us with refinances and new home loans.
