Trump seems to blowing the entire ruse of fiat debt. For decades, we've been admonished for responding to one fucking upheaval after another by using our credit with the Fed, and always wrung our hands over this obscene 22 trillion dollar debt.
Now, I am not the first person to suspect that politicians don't take it seriously. They are happy to re-fi our country into financial oblivion. All they care about is getting through their careers. But they, specifically Republicans, have always made a good show of 'fiscal responsibility', which I've never taken seriously, because Republicans in particular always make a big show of saving a dime on social programs and then spending a quarter on their donor subsidies. At least liberals will bankrupt you to your face.
Trumps casual spending seems to be letting the cat out of the bag. This debt is never, ever going to be paid, and the Fed would be outraged if it ever was, because debt is control. But:

Its not that I think Trump has some secret plan to get us off fiat currency and fractional reserve central banking.
