Just wanted to let you know that as of yesterday evening, shortly before my next nightshift, i was placed in quarantine. On Thursday last week i had contact with a coworker who developed symptoms on Sunday and got tested positive for the virus Monday. Got a call from my head of department to stay home for the next two weeks. Testing is not needed if i dont develop symptoms. I was supposed to do another nightshift, now i am awake, abusing the shit out of my netflix account. I'm feeling fine, no symptoms whatsoever but i am completely out of the loop now and wont be able to give you that many insider infos now. Last thing i heard that we had our first more severe case on Tuesday. He's on the ICU now. Cant tell anything about treatment tho but last thing i heard was that he was not on ventilation. I am in contact with my coworker/friends but they are too busy in the ER and cant really follow up on patients once they've been transferred to a ward. I still try to get as many inside infos as i can but it will all be second hand without me being able to verify. People are coming in droves to our hospital to get screened and we've started to focus on at risk patients and send the ones without or only very mild symptoms back home. The strain on our capacities and resources is already palpable

Yes, all these things donhave antimicrobial properties but it is by far not enough to prevent an infection. The best thing is to not get in ckntact with the virus at all. I.e. wearing masks. And you wont get honey tonstay in place for.long enough. It's not bad either other than giving you maybe hyperglycemia but dont put all your trust in this and consider it a magical cure. Do try herbal stuff if you're into that but it will not replace proper exposure protection. But be careful when sticking things up your nose.
