They're proposing to track people's phones to detect unnecessary movements outside and there are people who seem fine with the idea.
If I had my doubts about these measures being a way to test their grip on the citizens' freedom and basic rights, they're gone.

Viruses gonna mutate. It could mutate in a neutral way or even to be less dangerous.

But never forget that the Spanish Flu of 1918 started with a varient like this that only killed the elderly in the Spring outbreak. Then, later in the year in the Fall, a new variant targeted the young specifically, healthy 20 year olds dying famously at rates much higher than the elderly or sick. Not because of the war, that was taken into account, the rates were higher because of the cytokine storm. Your stronger, healthier, younger immune system is what killed you all of a sudden.
