What’s a good rifle to buy with that for this price range? AK or AR?
Getting a tax return of $600
AR, you'll get a shit AK for that price range.
What’s the optimal price for a decent ak? I like the wood look rather than all black.
AR, and that's coming from a Zastava AK fan. For a beginner you will want an AR with 16" barrel and flat top receiver. Try to get picatinny for a handguard, not a dealbreaker if you can't find that. Get rounds and mags over gucci optics or features.
Buy a milled norinco. Dont buy an ar theyre junk unless you build one with a nickel teflon upper and coated bcg. If you ever need a shtf rifle and theres no oil an ar is junk unless its coated.
Nickel boron wmd uppers are junk also just call failzero and ask them how well nib works on aluminum
Yeah I’m not a fan of tacticool stuff. This will be my first rifle so why not.
Id recommend a norinco hunter over an ar any day
Ak ammo is cheaper
>Norinco
Isn’t that the Chinese company? I thought they only did business in Canada?
No its not... .223 and 5.56 is ridiculously plentiful with a ton of variety from steelcase to premium hollowpoint "home defense" loads. OP dont be dumb get AR
