The response you should have to the media is to point at how much money they're wasting attacking Trump's coronavirus reponse that they could be using to actually help people. That has better optics than "China virus" which can be spun as proof of racism even though it's technically correct - they don't have any way to spin wasting hundreds of millions that could've helped Americans.
Something like #DemsDonate where you pressure candidates/superpacs to donate to charities to have their "own" coronavirus response would waste their money and tie up media airtime they would've otherwise spent shilling.

Yes. It makes us more competitive and attractive for manufacturing to move back to the US. The problem is that pretty much the rest of the world is having an actual crash and entering a real depression so they are all snapping up as many dollars as they can. The dollar supply is really tight because of it. There aren't enough. The Empire of the USA is growing as counter-intuitive as that seems.
Yas Forumsbro here. There are quite a few stocks I am following but I know some of you might be thinking about buying into the market. There are a few that are being, IMO, massively undervalued. Typically a result of being part of industries that are being especially hard hit by various travel bans and quarantines. But are also generally solid performers with consistent values up until this point. Also just a warning that in general buying index funds right about now is probably the safest money for your investment. The first is Live Nation Entertainment Inc (LYV), a live event organizer based in California. If you look at its stock price and earnings you will see what I mean. The second to a lesser extent is Marriot. The potential gains there will be modest but I think solid but both stocks are going to require sitting on the investment for several months at least. Marriot also has an okish dividend return which is nice for longer term investing. At this point the only issue I think would be if they will go even lower as quarantines expand and testing increases (and thus find more cases). I think these are honestly good buys even now and you will have to go with your gut if you should pull the trigger.
Socializing the economy makes sense during economic downturns to try to keep people alive and reduce panic, but it's terrible to actually build an economy up from the bottom.

I'm barely right wing I just hate Dems/Progressives. Yang is also fairly right with his justifications for UBI, but the methods he intended to use to raise the cash for it(taxing wealthy and businesses without thinking about economic growth and outsourcing) and not controlling inflation made me dislike it.
Right now the economy is dropping worse than the Depression and the Fed is printing trillions of dollars, so inflation isn't going to be an issue and if you don't cushion the fall and make sure people are going to be able to eat everything is going to get worse. It's an entirely reasonable tactic and good optics during a time like this to keep people stable and the economy moving when half of the country is forced out of their jobs.
