Sardines: Best survival food?
1. Costs $1 for a can.
2. Comes with its own cooking oil
3. Doesn't need a pan, just a fork and hot embers. Cleanup is easy - tin can disintegrates in fire. Can re-use tin to make scrambled eggs.
4. Add salt, delicious.
5. Lightweight. Can carry 2 months of food in a backpack.
6. Packed with protein, omega 3, crunchy, tastes actually quite nice.
